For the price and size these do a very decent job. You can crank em up and the sound is still bearable with satisfactory bass.They work great with my laptop.

These are just awesome.At that price you can't go wrong.Worth every penny.You get more than what u pay. Best thing i like was they connect thru headphone port so your USB port is free.Eay to install just plug it and play.Recommended if looking something for your office.

These a very good set of little speakers. I was blown away by their quality of sound. People complain about the midrange, but I don't really hear anything wrong. Perfect for watching movies or playing music.

I tested this 2.1 set up in the store and was impressed by the clarity of sound; this get up produces clean hits to the high hat and low resonant base lines. In retrospect I should have gone for the 5.1 or 7.1. Yet for 2.1 audio it is hard to go wrong with these.

While the mid range sounds are somewhat muffled the speakers sound nice too me. They can be turned up really high and they don't distort and the bass on this is strong.

just picked these up to replace my other set of altecs. thought these were nicer i know somone else who had them and i remembered them sounding really nice but when i got my computer i coudnt find these so picked up a different set of altecs same price but way cheaper looking and the sub wasent even half the size but i gotta say there sound quality was far superior to these skinny things. these may have killer bass but like the other guys are saying the midrange is horrible these speakers have this sort of hollow sound is the only way to describe it. im trying to get used to it but i dont know if i can.overall if your more conserned about looks buy these if more about sound dont buy these

I bought these speakers about 6 months ago and i Must say that they do look nice but it is also true that the sound quality is nothing short of unimpressive. However that doesn't bother me to much because im easily satisfied with the type of music i listen to :P. The price doesn't seem that ridiculous to me though because you can definitly get some sound out of these.

I've been very happy with these speakers since I built my new computer in May 2006. The overall audio quality is very good, though the midrange is pretty flat. The bass is very good considering the subwoofer is only 19 watts.

These speakers will go extremely loud and put out some pretty deep bass for the $90 I paid for them from a local store. Pleased with their performance and love using the woofer as a foot rest as well.
