The DWL-G122 Wireless USB Adapter includes an easy-to-use configuration that discovers available wireless networks wherever you go. You can also enable support for WPA and 802.1x, for better data encryption and user authentication.
The DWL-G122 is a Wireless USB 2.0 adapter that installs quickly and easily into any desktop or laptop PC with an available USB port. You can simply plug in the DWL-G122 to enjoy the freedom of wireless networking. When used with other D-Link AirPlus G products in their default configuration, the DWL-G122 automatically discovers and connects to the wireless network.
Like all other D-Link wireless adapters, the DWL-G122 Wireless USB Adapter can be used in peer-to-peer mode (ad-hoc) to directly connect to other 802.11b/g wirelessly enabled computers for direct file sharing, or in client mode (infrastructure) to connect with wireless access points or routers.

Portable, easy to install, very suitable for old notebooks and all-in-one desktops. I purchased it for IBM Netvista X41 that kids use for web browsing and flash games. Works quite well. However support of various WPA types is hit and miss. This review was modfied by poster u 02-06-08 07:39 AM

This is actually quite decent out of the all the USB wireless adaptors I have used so far. This one outperforms most of other brands by both signal quality and strength. Had trouble finding the best driver to use, but worth the trouble to get the extra speed.

This USB W-LAN transceiver works well (in fact, I'd say it works just as well as an actual internal card), and has the added bonus of being very convenient for quick use. With that said, it is only quick after you finish the install, and I personally have had problems with D-Link software in the past. Using this with just the basic driver and WZC though, the device is worth the cash.

Easy to hook up, and easy to get it up and running. I haven't had a disconnect, or slow connection, while I surf, download, and watch videos online. Running it in Vista doesn't give me any problems.

I am very pleased with this product. I've had no problem installing it, and The acessories (dock + usb extension) are usefull. And add this to the ease of use compared to an internal card... A good choice if you ask.

Have had problems with these. They keep disconnecting on me. Never maintains a connection for more that 1 hour. I have the Rev C1 type, maybe problem has been fixed. Have tried on 2 different wireless networks. Seems to work fine without WEP encryption.

- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense.
