I use this 6x8 and my older 9x12 Intuos Wacom tablets, on Windows XP Pro 32 bit and Windows XP 64 bit pc's.

The build quality is excellent; pen surface is smooth and easy to work with. The programmable buttons and touch strips are useful in graphic apps. I mainly use the tablet with Photoshop and Corel Painter X and many of the tasks are much more intuitive with the tablet, as compared to using a mouse. Pressure sensitivity works very well in Painter X.

I enjoy working with this thing, it's nice how programs like Photoshop and Artrage automatically detect the use of a Wacom tablet. You can pretty much use this to replace your mouse if you feel like, though I wouldn't recommend it for FPS games! But painting terrain heightmaps or detail/colour maps is easily done. Lots of buttons and features with this thing, very impressed with the style and quality. This encourages me to draw more often.

I got this tablet a while back, always wanted one since I first saw it. I do a lot of drawing and artwork in photoshop and in my sketch book then upload it to deviantart. After attempting to do things with a mouse, I got tired of it and decided to invest in a tablet, shortly afterwords I got hired to make some images for a small online game and it paid for itself.

I bought one of these from NCIX for New Year's 2007, and it's continued to last me, despite numerous mishaps with spilling food and drink on it. At 6x8, it's a good size, not too big, not too small, and I've mapped it to the second monitor of my dual-screen config — *very* useful for maximizing an app on a single monitor and focusing on it. I routinely use it with programs like ArtRage.

All in all, this is a fantastic tablet. The configuration is great. The pen is great. It's easy to use, even for people who are new to tablets. I have been using tablets for years and Wacom makes, by far, the best product that I have used.

I've owned a 9x12 Intuos2 for a long time now, and I have to say that the new Intuos3 is an improvement across the board (thank goodness!). The buttons and sliders are much more useful than what the Intuos2 has (which didn't always work right for me), the pen is slightly larger and much more comfortable (noticeably less wrist/hand cramping), and the increased resolution, which has been doubled to over 5000 lpi, is very noticeable with the Intuos3. It's definitely more sensitive too as it clearly detects the pen from slightly farther away. This all equates to an extremely smooth stroke with no jitters. Included with the package is a number of spare nibs, including a spring loaded one that I really like since it gives good feedback on the amount of pressure you are applying to the pad, which I should add still seems to be built quite tough. I've always kind of regretted going with the larger 9x12 originally, which is quite unwieldly at a computer desk, but the 6x8 is perfect. Not too big, not too small. I think the tilt may even work a bit better as well on this newer model (seems more accurate to me) but I'm not 100% sure. Anyways, the wife keeps stealing my tablet so I just ordered a second one. It arrived a day later thanks to how speedy NCIX and Purolator is, despite being a sort of special order item. She loves it just as much and for all the same reasons. She loves working in Painter, while I'm a Photoshop/ZBrush kind of guy. I've also used a Graphire3 in the past for about a week, and have to say it's definitely worth spending a little bit extra for an Intuos instead. I'm likely going to sell my 9x12 Intuos2 on E-bay because I'm definitely in love with this new one and can't see either of us ever using it again.

Wacom is the only company to buy a graphic tablet if you are into computer graphics. This is another quality product. I especially like the sensitive touchpad. It works nicely for photoshop with the zoom in/out and can be use to scroll webpages with IE/Firefox/Opera... Overall, I am very satisfied!
