I got these on sale for about $15 a spindle, and they're just as good as any for everyday use. I haven't burned any coaster with these, and I've created all sorts of DVDs from data backups, to DVD backups using both Linux and Windows machines as well as various DVD burning software.       » READ MORE

I have been using Maxell DVD-R's for years, and they have very rarely failed me. I usually burn my DVD's at 8X and the quality is very good. The DVDs are also quite reliable and durable. I think they're a bit pricey in their normal price, but when they're on sale, they're great bargains.      » READ MORE

These are great when you get them on sale. You should burn Playstation games burn at the lowest speed, everything else 16x burns flawlessly. Anyone who tells you otherwise just doesn't use a good burner.      » READ MORE

I have mostly been using these blank dvd±r for my backup needs (I download a lot of stuff) and never had any problems. If you wait to restock when it comes on sale, it comes very cheap(12-15$) which means 0.25-0.30$ a piece.      » READ MORE

These are very cheap on sale, $10-$12 a 50 spindle, and $20-$24 a 100 spindle as of this review date. However, they are all Made in Taiwan, to date no Made in Japan manufatured 16X Maxell budget DVDs have made it to Canada.       » READ MORE

I'm using the GSA-H10N, and burning a data disc was a snap. Tried to burn a dvd movie on there, and had a 50% success rate....tried once, burn completed, but didn't run on the player so well. Tried again, everything was fine. That could merely be my own shortcomings, however.      » READ MORE
