Used this to replace an older 5400 RPM drive. The machine runs much faster now, and a lot more room for a reasonable price. Got to love Seagate Hard Drives - reliable, runs at reasonable temperature, and 5 yr warranty!

Well, if I am upgrading an old computer without SATA port, I would buy a Seagate just for their 5 years warranty. It would get me peace of mind and if the owner upgrade his whole tower, there's a chance he will keep the drive (as long as the motherboard have an IDE port). Overall, good buy for an old computer!

JMai installé ce DD comme DD principal dans une machine que je me suis remonté, in fonctionne très bien et en plsu il est plutot silencieux. C'est un plus parce que l'ordi n'a aucune fan dedans. Il n'a pas tendance à trop chauffé. #1

Physical install went very well on my iMac G4 17" with no hitches. Partition, format and install of OS 10.3.2 went quicker than expected with no hangs.

Bought it for my daughters system and needed a drive that was PATA,as her mobo could not take SATA.Anyway its very low on noise and seeks pretty fast.Got it for 68.98 at the time it was on sale,last month.

People all say Barracuda is quiet, at its sale price with a free nGear External Aluminum 3.5IN IDE Hard Drive Enclosure,you can't ask for more.(a external 250G for $75!)

For the price its perfect. It runs a little hot in the enclosure. You can actually touch the enclosure and feel that its running hot. Thats to be expected though because the enclosure has no fan.

I just received this drive, and boy is it ever quiet! If you want a fast, big, and quiet drive, you can't go wrong with Seagate. It even came with a free enclosure! I am actually thinking about buying a few more of these for my server! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BUY!!!

- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense.
