Belkin networking presents its latest innovation, the 802.11g Wireless Desktop Network Card. The Card works as an ideal standalone to give you instant networking capabilities. It features breakthrough 802.11g technology that makes wireless file transfers and downloads faster than ever before. 802.11g technology provides you with networking speeds nearly five times faster than the current Wi-Fi (802.11b) standard. The Card sets up on any desktop PC, with the simplicity of Plug-and-Play technology. It slides easily into the PCI expansion slot to enable a wireless connection to your network. 54g technology is the easiest wireless network to implement. The Card uses the wireless 802.11g 2.4GHz standard to offer you the widest working range-up to 1800 feet-and greater interoperability in mixed networking environments. 802.11g is backward-compatible with the 802.11b Wi-Fi networking standard, so it allows you to implement faster wireless technologies in combination with existing 802.11b Wi-Fi networks.

I picked up two of these on sale for $10 each, and once I got them working they were fine. I have one on a Vista system and on on XP. The only problem was the drivers. I downloaded the latest ones, but they wouldn't install. I ended up installing the old ones from the CD, then updating to the new ones.

I have no complaints with this card. It set up easily right out of the box and has been rock solid with Vista Ultimate for 3 weeks straight. I was also surprised with it's range as I am currently picking up a half dozen networks in my apartment complex (3 out of 6 with strong signals). Very impressed with what I paid for it.

I bought two of these for relatives while on sale for $18 each. They were easy to install, and they both seem to have great range. The drivers in the box were also fully up-to-date.

After my Trendnet PCI card died, i replaced it with this and it works a charm. Need some trick to install the drivers to bypass installing the useless own wireless software.
