MCR-320 "Quiet Power" series Radiator
Designed in the USA One or more Patents Pending |
|
|
Introduction
The MCR320-QP (Quiet Power™) is an extreme-duty liquid-to-air heat exchanger designed to be used with three 120mm fans, and specifically engineered for high-end liquid cooled Personal Computers. The Quiet Power™ technology is the result of months of research and development focused on optimizing thermal performance and audible noise characteristics with low to medium airflow types of fans.
The MCR320 -QP series heat exchangers have been engineered to meet today's PC industry highest thermal loads, quality standards, and low noise requirements at competitive prices.
Single and dual 120mm versions of the MCR320-QP are also available.
Features and Benefits
|
High Performance |
Low noise |
Triple 120mm fan form factor triple the surface area available for convection of the heat into the air compared to single 120mm fan designs. The Quiet Power design yields superior performance at low noise levels compared to competing products in the same class. |
Optimized for 120mm fans with low to medium air output.
The added heat dissipation capacity enables multiple high-end devices (multi-core CPU's, and SLI systems) to run highly overclocked at the lowest possible noise levels.
|
Flat brass tubes and copper louvered fins, with brass plenum chambers and frame construction, for optimum thermal conductivity. |
Fin density optimized to reduce air noise. |
Flat frame surface provides optimum seal to the fans. |
Built-in plenum chamber. |
|
Convenience, Reliability, Quality, Competitive Prices |
G1/4" threaded hubs, for maximum compatibility with various tubing installations.
Patent-pending Self purging plenum chambers design: when installed upright or on its side, air cannot accumulate in the plenum chambers.
Threaded fan and case mounting holes for quick and repeated installations.
Slim design to facilitate installation, and reduce bulk.
No oxidation over time (compared to aluminum radiators).
Beautiful and durable gloss acrylic paint finish.
Competitive pricing with same class radiators (single row, 2 pass). |
Installation with a minimum of case modifications
The MCR320-QP can be installed using Swiftech's MCB120 "Radbox". |
|
Performance Curves - MCR320 triple compared to MCR220 dual 120mm radiator
|
|
|
it can be observed that the pressure drop is marginally higher than that of the MCR220-QP |
|
|
|
The MCR320-QP shows a 50% higher heat dissipation capacity than that of the MCR220-QP. Under the test conditions this indicates that the MCR320 can dissipate in excess of 400 Watts while maintaining a 10°C temperature differential between the coolant and the ambient air. |

The improvement is of the order of 1°C per 100 Watts dissipated across the range of tested flow rates. |

For the money this rad is really really good. My fans blow through it quite quietly, and it does a good job of dispersing heat. The fan mounting screws are also pretty good... a good fit wiht the cosmos S.

like others have said to death price/performance ratio on this thing is beyond amazing , its not cheap just caused it costs little. It can go toe to toe with the top rads if your loop isnt too big. cant say enough good things about this that havent already been said by others.

Great radiator. Although not the best in performance, it is on par with the top one. The best thing of this piece is the price, for half of the top radiators' price, this radiator delivers more then half the performance of the top radiators.

i think the general consensus is that the thermochill 120.3 is better, but for under half the price its hard to justify a little more performance. this thing does a good job.

I have this radiator since 2 months and it has been able to keep my 6000+ OC 3.51GHz under 40 degrees and 2 HD3870 in crossfire (850/1300) under 38 degrees while gaming. I was able to fit in a TT armor. It's big but it's worth it.

This is an awesome rad for the price. It's also a good choice for lower CFM/pressure fans as its not as thick as some other rads. If I were looking at making a quite system, I'd buy these again in a second, but for something that cools some crazy overclocked system, I'd opt for something else.
