MCR-320 "Quiet Power" series Radiator

Designed in the USA
One or more Patents Pending

Introduction

The MCR320-QP (Quiet Power™) is an extreme-duty liquid-to-air heat exchanger designed to be used with three 120mm fans, and specifically engineered for high-end liquid cooled Personal Computers. The Quiet Power™ technology is the result of months of research and development focused on optimizing thermal performance and audible noise characteristics with low to medium airflow types of fans.

The MCR320 -QP series heat exchangers have been engineered to meet today's PC industry highest thermal loads, quality standards, and low noise requirements at competitive prices.

Single and dual 120mm versions of the MCR320-QP are also available.

Features and Benefits

High Performance
Low noise
Triple 120mm fan form factor triple the surface area available for convection of the heat into the air compared to single 120mm fan designs. The Quiet Power design yields superior performance at low noise levels compared to competing products in the same class.

Optimized for 120mm fans with low to medium air output.

The added heat dissipation capacity enables multiple high-end devices (multi-core CPU's, and SLI systems) to run highly overclocked at the lowest possible noise levels.

Flat brass tubes and copper louvered fins, with brass plenum chambers and frame construction, for optimum thermal conductivity. Fin density optimized to reduce air noise.
Flat frame surface provides optimum seal to the fans. Built-in plenum chamber.
Convenience, Reliability, Quality, Competitive Prices
G1/4" threaded hubs, for maximum compatibility with various tubing installations.
Patent-pending Self purging plenum chambers design: when installed upright or on its side, air cannot accumulate in the plenum chambers.
Threaded fan and case mounting holes for quick and repeated installations.
Slim design to facilitate installation, and reduce bulk.
No oxidation over time (compared to aluminum radiators).
Beautiful and durable gloss acrylic paint finish.
Competitive pricing with same class radiators (single row, 2 pass).

Installation with a minimum of case modifications

The MCR320-QP can be installed using Swiftech's MCB120 "Radbox".

Performance Curves - MCR320 triple compared to MCR220 dual 120mm radiator

it can be observed that the pressure drop is marginally higher than that of the MCR220-QP
The MCR320-QP shows a 50% higher heat dissipation capacity than that of the MCR220-QP. Under the test conditions this indicates that the MCR320 can dissipate in excess of 400 Watts while maintaining a 10°C temperature differential between the coolant and the ambient air.

Click on image to zoom in

The improvement is of the order of 1°C per 100 Watts dissipated across the range of tested flow rates.

great performance regardless of the price, checkout the benchmarks against its rivals. did not show any problem / defect in the grill / paint. a snug fit in recent computer cases, it may also be mounted externally. Looks tremendously great used with compression fittings!      » READ MORE

After doing lots of research, I bought this rad for my first loop. I am putting it in the front of my antec 1200 with 6 antec tricools. It will take some work but it will be done. This rad is cheap compared to others, but it's performance is apparently great.      » READ MORE

I use this rad + a MCR120 to cool 2 9800gt and my e8400. both are heavily overclocked and load temps are under 50 degrees (ambient is around 22). very nice finish, no bent fins and no leaks! overall a great choice for the price and would purchase again if required.      » READ MORE

I am using this to cool an I7 and so far it is working well. Being a first time water cooler I have a bit of tweaking to do as in rad placement and fan selection but overall I am happy with this. It has reduced my temps by another 5C compared to my Megahalem.      » READ MORE

Set up my first water loop with this. It includes mounting hardware for 25mm fans, and a couple screws to actually mount it to something else, assuming you have something to mount it to. I had to mod my case to get it where I wanted it (vertically in the front of a TT Armor - Not the rads fault.), and I put 38mm thick fans on it, which meant I had to get my own screws for it.       » READ MORE

I added this to a single loop on i7 920 (Already had a MCR220), with 6 fans attached on both side (slipstream, low speed 1200 rpm). Performance is exellent now, dropped about 4 deg idle down to 33 (room temp is about 22), and load temp max at 55 (linpack, LinX, OCCT, Prime95). Overall, very pleased with this piece of hardware.      » READ MORE

Bought this rad with 3 Antec red leds for my Cosmos 1000 case mounted at the top. I've only got CPU water cooled now, I'm running 1/2 inch ID primochill tubing and have my Q6600 overclocked to 3.6 GHz. I ran prime 95 small FFTs after 2 hours and the hottest core reads 53 C with core temp where on air Thermalright extreme 120 it was at 68 C. With intel burn test it goes to 61 C hottest core on water, with air it was hitting 83 C.      » READ MORE

For the money this rad is really really good. My fans blow through it quite quietly, and it does a good job of dispersing heat. The fan mounting screws are also pretty good... a good fit wiht the cosmos S.
