  Introduction
Equipped with a new generation of design and components, the Element ST50EF continues SilverStone's stride toward more efficient power supplies. With higher than 80% efficiency across all loading conditions (from 20% to 100%), the ST50EF produces less wasted heat than typical power supplies and allows the included 120mm fan to operate at minimal speeds, ensuring silent operation for nearly all applications. This stable output and efficient characteristics are packed inside an environmentally-friendly casing that is compatible with nearly any ATX enclosures on the market. If strong power for dual core/dual video card processing and silence are the main priorities, the Element st50ef-plus is for you.

Comment: The SilverStone Element ST50EF-Plus high efficiency power supply combines excellent build quality with high efficiency, solid output voltages, and delivers up to 500 watts while running cool and quiet.

Comment: Despite a few quibbles the Element Plus has proved itself a worthy product, with very strong fundamentals. It's well regulated, highly efficient, and didn't start to get noisy until 300W output.

Despite the investment of purchasing a gaming tower, many people overlook the importance of having a quality power supply. Don't be one of them! The Silverstone Element ST50EF is surprisingly good value, don't let the price scare you away as it worth every penny.       » READ MORE

This seems like a great power supply so far. I bought it based on the good reviews and by the praise it received from NCIX's very own power supply guy, SKYMTL.       » READ MORE

It's silent. To hear it, you have to actually try. Way better than my 50$ generic 550W PS from some computer store. Add some cash and buy a better PS, for sure. Stays fairly cool. Don't have the tools to test the specs but it runs fine.       » READ MORE

probably the most underrated psu out there. Includes molex and sata power cables, and is ATX 2.2 compliant. Very sleek and quiet. Amazing buy - outperforms all of the psu's in its category.      » READ MORE

Took the advice of Skymtl and bought this for my new rig. However my older rig's PSU (Fortron) always was loud with any type of stresses to the system and recently I'm doing lots of activity that stresses they sytem and was really getting tired of the noise.       » READ MORE

Silverstone doesn't fail to impress. So far it has proven to be very reliable with my OCed gaming system, and was painless to set up. Aesthetics-wise, the black finish looks good and I can't hear the fan. A good bang-for-the-buck PSU when it's on sale.      » READ MORE

After reading reviews by a forum PSU specialist (take a guess), I went with this to replace the Antec PSU that came with my Sonata II case. The rails are FAR more stable, the cables nicely sleeved and really long. Perfect for anyone looking for a solid 500w PSU, and well worth the price      » READ MORE

I would recommend this power supply to anyone who needs stable power for an overclocked midrange system. It powers my e4400 y 2.88 Ghz, an 8800gt, 5 case fans, a 965-DS3, and 2 power-hungry ATA hard drives without fail. It also seems to stay quite cool while powering everything under load, whilst maintaining stable voltages. As another bonus the cables were long enough to route around the front of my motherboard in my Antec 900 case (allowing for a reasonably neat cable layout). All in all an excellent purchase.       » READ MORE

This is an awesome and probably overlooked psu and certainly worth looking at for anyone in the market. The SATA and Molex cables may be a bit long for most, but that's the only thing bad I have to say about it and that's not really such a bad thing at all. It's able to provide power to multiple drives, 2 of which are running raid 0, a HIS 3850HD TurboX, 3.4GHz pent D and external usb equipment and at the same time it's silent and has lots of power to spare, my cpu fan makes more noise than this.       » READ MORE
