Got this card readerabout a week ago, installed no problem andruns great. have only used the sd card portion but noproblems there. the extra usb on th efront is also a nice plus

Overall this is a good unit. I had no trouble writing or reading to a 512MB SD card or a 1GB USB drive, but when I tried writing to either of my 2 2GB SD cards it would frequently freeze when writing larger files. I could transfer music files without problems but when I tried some video files that were over 100MB it was hit or miss, and if I tried multiple video files at a time it would freeze every time.

The unit works well, I've tried it with Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo, SD and USB so far. No problem. Like some people mentioned on the forums, the connector isn't separated but a single USB 8 pins connector.

Finally some front usb ports on my old case to save some time! One annoying thing on this tho is this red LED that always stays ON on it.. what for!? One other thing I realized too late is that nGear have a similar model with eSATA on it for a weebit more expensive, but far more practical if you're using eSATA devices. Oh well, it was cheap on sale, good buy anyway =)

Easy install. I don't mind that its a little slow. over all I like it but the red light even when you turn your computer off the light stay on ! I might still look for another one with out this problem. And put this one in my wife's computer!

Usually i was buying the Mitsumi multi format + floppy, but now this model is out of production, this one is working but the front plate feel like it will fall off one day. Too bad i did not bought it on sale

Bought two of these - for each computer. It has become time consuming to use the usb dongle for the camera and, not to mention very slow to transfer images from device to local. With the ngear card reader, transfer rates have sped up significantly and so did the time it took to get images from the camera to the pc. Plus, the front has a glossy black finish that goes perfectly with my thermaltake tsunami dream case. the price was affordable as well. i will upload an 'action shot' right after this review.

i bought this so i don't have to find my cables when i need to connect my phone or digital cam to my computer. it reads all the cards that i need and the usb is working. the only thing i dont like is that the light doesn't turn off when you are not using it.

- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. - Returned merchandise must NOT be physically damaged, including damage due to improper installation or overclocking.
