Comment: The DNS-323 is an excellent network storage device, which was easy to set-up, easy to use and performed as advertised. Digital Home considers the D-Link DNS-323 a ‘Top Performer’ that should be a welcome addition to any home network.

Comment: Consider, for a moment, your library of digital photos. In many cases, people keep their digital photos on home PCs. A few souls store them on their laptops, a concept that causes us to shudder. In the vast majority of cases, those PCs have single hard drives, and the owners of those digital phot

Comment: Tom's Hardware does a run down of the soon to be released D-Link DNS-323 and compares it to its competitors.

Great for the home. Easy to setup. The print server and the torrent feature work great. I have not tried using a 1gb connection only 100mb.      » READ MORE

I've recently bought my 2nd DNS-323, this time for a friend of mine. I installed 2x500GB WD Green drives in RAID1, and he is very happy with it! The first unit was purchased a couple years ago for my parents. It also had 2x500GB HDDs in RAID1. They have had 0 problems with it, and love the fact that it goes into sleep mode when not being accessed.       » READ MORE

This this is amazing. I purchased just over a year ago and not 1 SERIOUS problem. in the weaknesses I mentioned the blue led is bright and the power brick is heavy and disconnects the cable from it if the brick is suspended but other then thoes 2 very small points theres noting wrong with it. This NAS is whisper quiet I never hear it and it's in my living room under my tv. its fast ( I get about 18mbps on a Gbit Link) i have 2 of these now (1 with 2 x 1.5TB and 1 with 2x 500GB) and they both work great. I have one with all my movies,tv shows, music, pictures on it. I stream 10-20GB .mkv's from it to my samsung BDP-3600 and not 1 second in dropped connection... NOTHING. i use the other one for apps and OS X Time Machine backups and works amazing. for the price I would pay even more for everything you get from these boxes.      » READ MORE

Great way to share all kinds of documents on a network. I have this with 2 1TB WD black and it is working great in raid 1 configuration.      » READ MORE

I've had the 323 for 1/2 a year now and for the price its a decent little box. very mod-able, very easy to use out fo the box. but as the other reviewers have noticed the gigibit connection doesn't pull much more than 18-20MB/sec MAX. the bottle neck on this nas is the very underpowered processor on the box, but you get what you pay for.       » READ MORE

Decent box when on sale. Very slow transfers for gigabit. Your lucky if you get 15 MB/sec transfer to it, so dont expect blazing speeds. For media streaming to Popcorn hours or WD Live it worked quite well tho.      » READ MORE

Great product to use for external backup as all drives will eventually fail. Using in Raid 1, for redunancy backup. Work good. I notice sometimes it's a big sluggish getting out of "sleep" mode, when I haven't accessed the drives in a bit. Websites out there describe  methods to install software that works on the NAS for easier support.      » READ MORE

I've been using this for a few months and everything works perfectly. I usually power it down when not in use. I tested pulling out one of the drives and replaced with one of my spares and it remirrored as expected. I use this to store raw files which are huge these days, so this product is just what I need to keep them secure.      » READ MORE
