 Front Panel Audio: User expend Front Panel Audio connector on your PC case with STRIKER 7.1 Front Panel Audio. And it supports link detection automatically. With the front panel audio enabled, users can connect a second microphone without any reduction of input signal levels.
Front Panel Audio function supports auto detection of resistance levels. When a user connects headphones to the Front Panel Audio, the analog outputs of the sound card will be muted automatically while connecting computer speakers will not mute the analog outputs. This advanced feature checks the impedance level of the device connected to the Front Panel Audio. Headphones have higher resistance levels than typical computer speakers

A great sound card, I'm using it to output to a Yamaha receiver via optical, and everything sounds fantastic. It was very easy to install on XP Pro SP2, and hasn't given me any issues at all. A great sound card!

Needed to get a separate sound cards since the Asus P5K-E on-board one didn't work well with the Z5500 (very low output from sub). This card works very well with the speakers, especially giving you multiple audio input/output options.

I had a fairly good onboard sound chip before, but the occasional crackling and pops were annoying me so I got this. I haven't had any crackling now. The sound quality IS better, but it isn't mind blowing like a lot of people say when switching from onboard to a sound card. It's not that I have bad hearing or bad equipment, (although I'm not an audiophile). The sound was always good, and this just makes it a bit nicer. The big advantage for me is being able to connect my headphones to the analog output, and speakers to the optical out. I recommend getting this when it's on sale or pricematch it. I got it for about $65 a while back.

Same chipset as the $110 Auzentech, but with two mic inputs and front audio connectors. Got the drivers from the website and haven't had a single problem with it. Will never buy a SB again if I can help it, and would definitely buy another HT card in the future. :)

I bought this to hook up my Yamaha 5.1 Surround System (Receiver and Speakers) to my PC for watching DVD's and the like on my computer. This seemed a better price and value then anything else on the market for doing this. It has lived up to it's hype and worked flawlessly - though I did have to play with the outdated driver quite a bit.

Overall a good card. Good sound quality, sounds amazing paired with Logitech Z-5500 speakers. Only complaint after a month of having it is when you you are using the optical with the dobly encoding it disables all the stereo jacks. So essentially it makes it front panel connectors useless because it just disabled them. Only option at that point is to not use the dobly digital or go into the config and turn off dobly digital so you can use your front port or any of the rear jacks.

I bought this card since I finally had enough of my striker extreme on board soundmax audio card. The drivers for it were utter crap in vista, and there had been no updates for weeks. I got this card for the sake of having good working front audio connections without the need of spending over $120 on a soundcard.

Products sold by NCIXUS.com are covered under a limited 25-day DOA (dead-on-arrival) policy, from the original invoice date, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense.
