TRITTON introduces the Audio Xtreme 360 (AX360), one of the industry’s first high performance Dolby Digital and Pro Logic certified digital gaming headset for Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Mac/PC and DVD players. The AX360 provides true 5.1 digital, 360-degree surround sound with a detachable microphone.
The headset connects to the gaming console optical port to deliver optimum Dolby certified 2.1 and 5.1 digital sound separation. For a radical and extreme gaming experience, the unit features eight strategically placed speakers, four in each ear cup. The external 5.1 audio controller amplifies each individual speaker to completely engulf users into the game. The AX360 gives total control with inline adjustments for front, rear, center and subwoofer to customize the users own audio experience. The integrated rumble effect will blow your mind, giving you a more realistic and immersed game play.
With the AX360 gamers can hear when enemies are sneaking up behind them, the roar of engines as they pass the competition, bullets flying from side to side, and explosions emitting from all directions over the battlefield. With the detachable microphone that is XBOX Live compatible, gamers can communicate with other gamers directly from the headset. The sound box can support two headsets to share in the chaos. (Secondary headsets sold separately.) Connect to a PC via an optical port or 5.1 analog outputs through the G9 adapter provided. The AX360 is not only the perfect gaming headset, it is also ideal for enjoying DVD movies in crystal clear 5.1 Dolby Digital certified sound.

These sound great to me. Awesome for games & movies on my PC, and DRC sounds good. Essential for late night sessions of Assassin's Creed!

This is a great headset for multiple needs like movie watching, game playing and Xbox 360 playing. The sound is average because each channels are powered by tweaters isntead of mid sized drivers but thati s to be expected with a multi-channles headset. The channels separation isn,t as obvious on this model as it is on the Turtle Beach 5.1 headphones. The headset is confortable but a bit heavy. The support of all kind of stereo inputs is a great thing. The dobly decoder alone must be worth half of this item's value. Unofrtunately while playing Xbox live and wanting to head the other player over the game I had to play around with the variosu channels volume a lot so that one sound wouldn,t cover it all and it would always change between each levels. Things are much more simple with a stereo headset. also this headset lacks in the mids department. otherwise the sound would be very good. The basses are there and the high notes too. A rumble feature replaces the subwoofer channel and it feels like the headset is squeezing your heat. It is fun to watch a friend try it out first and see him panic when he listens to his first low notes. Some peopel find this anoying and while it can be turned down and off, you then find that it then lacks in the low notes.

For those using this product more for the PC, to maximize the rumble effect and bass, you need a sound card that can output the audio in Coaxial or Optical mode preferably in Dolby Digital (I'm using auzentech x-fi atm).

Bought these to replace my Sennheiser pc161s and they blow them away. Work amazingly well with my X-Fi Xtreme Music. The positional sound is perfect for gaming. In the case of my Xtreme Music, I didn't need the decoder box to get the 5.1 sound, but I've been told you can use the box with other audio devices. They're a little on the expensive side, but if you're a hardcore gamer, it's worth it. Also works great with music and movies. Apparently there's force feedback when you plug it into your xbox360...

A coworker told me about this product a while back. I've had it now for two months and I have to say this is the best surround sound setup for the price. I use it with my xbox360 and I must say it has improved my game, I can hear exactly where my opponents are by the sound of their footsteps which gives me a serious advantage.

I got this headset last christmas and they've done nothing but sound great since then. Crisp sound with optical, and true surround sound. You really hear EVERYTHING around you when in games. The other thing I like is how much you can customize the sound settings. You can adjust each volume sparatly (front, back, sides) and bass effects ect.

Amazing set of headphones. Sounds great with everything. Bass is better than i expected. The surround sound is a whole new level of gaming. I use this for my pc gaming and music. Highly recommended, will not disappoint.
