I bought this as I wasn't happy with the performance of my onboard nic for my LTSP server. It was great throughput.       » READ MORE

I bought this for my server so I could effectively deploy a ISA gateway server. Excellent file transfer speeds, and does extremely well under heavy load.      » READ MORE

Works as intended. Occupies a small PCI-e slot. If you want to speed up your internet connection by a small amount this is the NIC to use. If you don't notice a difference, you haven't lost much money. Much, much better value than the more expensive Killer NIC.      » READ MORE

These are great network cards. In informal tests I did, transfers between two of these cards got up to about 960 mbit/second, so it really does full gigabit. CPU load is very low when using these adapters, and PCI-e guarantees that your PCI bus won't get overloaded because of transfers happening on these cards.      » READ MORE

I purchased this card to replace the onboard Marvel NIC that I was using. I really hoped to see some reduced CPU utilization as well as lower pings in my online games yet this card has everything exactly as it was on the Marvel port. Perhaps I was expecting too much, and I am glad it was only a $50 'test' and not more.       » READ MORE

This is a great little card, small size and quaility components. Works out of the box with great intel driver support. Only complain is that it would have been nice to get a halfsized bracket.      » READ MORE

Purchased this card for a Linux server after the onboard ethernet didn't work out. The Intel NICs are extremely stable with a manufacturer-supported driver. Jumbo-frames are supported up to 9k and it has IP/TCP checksum offload. The PCI express connection eliminates the bus contention which can easily occur with 1000mbit/full duplex on a regular PCI bus.      » READ MORE

My onboard NForce4 (Asus A8N-E) Ultra ethernet controller was crapping out quickly and after I disabled it and install this PCI Express Intel NIC, all problems vanished. Best $52 I spent on a controller for someone who's on a budget but wants good quality.      » READ MORE
