The microSD card's tiny size, about 38 percent of the (surface area) size of a miniSD card and a mere 21 percent of the (surface area) size of a regular SD card, is designed for use in cellular phones with memory-hungry multimedia features such as music players and built-in digital cameras. The microSD card is for use in devices equipped with microSD slots. The card can utilize the provided adapter that converts the microSD card into a regular-sized SD card, allowing the microSD to be used with other regular SD-compatible devices, such as digital cameras, MP3 players, and handheld computers. The adapter is also convenient for using a microSD card in card readers that accept SD cards but not microSD cards. At its release, the microSD card is the smallest memory card with worldwide availability. What is flash technology? Flash cards are solid-state devices designed with NAND flash technology, a non-volatile storage solution that does not lose its information when power is removed from the card. The cards contain no moving parts and are extremely rugged, providing much greater data protection than conventional magnetic disk drives.

Got this on special with the $5 rebate to make it "free". Have also gotten the rebate within a timely manner. As for the card it works just like any other card. As for speed I don't know since it's a 1GB card and it really doesn't matter to me.

Bought it free after MIR. Works very well in cellphone. Could be used in any equipment calling for a SD card when used with the adapter. Extremely handy.

Can't really say much -- it's a microSD card. It works. Very versatile and compatible with various devices. Used it in my cell phone to test, works perfect. Been using it in my NDS for the past month and a bit and it's just been flawless. Bought for $5.99 with a $5 MIR so the price is a steal.

Bought this when it was $5.99. So, after postage and $5 rebate etc. will end up costing me about $2.50. I didn't have to format. In my media reader the memory card showed up as RAW format with pictures, music folders etc. already set up. I copied some MP3s to the music folder and popped the Micro SD card in my Motorola V1100 music phone and all files play fine.

Zero dollars after rebate, I don't think I could pass that opportunity up. Unfortunate that you have to mail in for a rebate as I seem to have bad luck with them, but we shall see. Card works fine in my computer and cellphone. No issues.

Products sold by NCIXUS.com are covered under a limited 25-day DOA (dead-on-arrival) policy, from the original invoice date, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for testing and refunds to be processed.
- Returned merchandise must NOT be physically damaged, including damage due to improper installation or overclocking. This includes any physical alteration to the product, modifications not approved by the manufacturer, bent pins, etc. No returns, refunds or exchanges for any special order products, Notebooks, PDAs, Televisions, Retail Box Software, OEM Software, Computer Games, Video Games, DVDs, CDs, or any products marked as "no returns" or carries a similar description on the products' page. All products are eligible for original manufacturer's warranties. Please contact the manufacturer directly. All fees, including "shipping and handling", insurance coverage fees, and "Rapid Replacement" fees are non-refundable.
- Returns MUST include all original parts and packing materials and an NCIXUS.com RMA number, or the return will be rejected. NCIXUS.com reserves the right to refuse any returns or refunds for merchandise. DOA items may be returned within 25 days of ordering and may be subject to a 15% restocking fee at the discretion of NCIXUS.com.
- LCD monitors and other products with LCD displays (i.e.: notebooks, cameras, etc.) adheres to the dead-pixel policy that been established by most of the manufacturers. Any product with an LCD screen must be a minimum of 7 (seven) dead LCD pixels to be considered defective (DOA). Please contact the manufacturer of the product for additional warranty information if you receive a product with less than 7 dead pixels.
