Overall, setup with this was fairly easy. It did not play nice with an older Shaw cable modem, but upon upgrading the modem to a newer Motorola, it seems to work quite flawlessly. Setup one Mac to it wired, and one laptop PC on wireless; seems to function reasonable well, and range is quite good. Given some of the reviews here, I didn't bother with the EZ setup function, and instead did it the "old fashioned way" manually entering settings.       » READ MORE

Well, first. I must say it took me a couple hours to get this thing setup. I know what I needed to set, I know what I had to do. Except in this unit, the standard interface software was so freaking user friendly that it had next to zero options at all.       » READ MORE

This seems like a good router; the config (via web browser) is nicely laid out. Given the lack of a good paper manual (the one supplied only outlines how to install their 'EZsetup' software, which in itself is useless), it would be nice to have some (hard/paper) documentation worth reading.       » READ MORE

Having had good experiences with a WL-520GU for the last few months, I bought one for use with my parents' new iMac. I read on various sites that they play nice with Macs. Well, it's true. I had it up and running in 5 minutes.       » READ MORE

After reading forum posts about people not being able to get the print server working properly. I was second guessing myself on making this purchase, but I thought "what the heck, at least its a cheap router". It worked like a charm, took about 5 minutes to setup the router, and 10 minutes to figure out the print server. Works great with my Canon i960 printer, no issues yet. Was a smooth, quick install, and for the price, I couldn't argue with this purchase one bit, I'd buy it again!      » READ MORE

This router is okay, not great. I use it now because I bought it otherwise I really would just use my old d-link di-524 as it was better. The QOS really sucks and doesn't work all that great for voip. This was one of the reasons why I bought this and it doesn't seems to prioritize traffic that great. I used the manual settings as well as the guided ones, doesn't make a difference. The print server only works with very few printers (all of which are 5+ years old it seems). However if your looking for a router that preforms decently without those features, this is a great basic router.      » READ MORE

Bought as a standby router. Comparable to two previous D-Link routers that I have used. Even better! The USB printer connection is invaluable for home networking. And, what a price!       » READ MORE

Last summer I installed a linksys router for my sister and I have to admit it took me a while to figure out how to setup the thing. I was looking into another brand for my own router in the hope it would be easier to setup. I found my answer with the WL-520GU. The ezsetup application is user friendly and network illiterates like myself will have no problem to set it up. The range covers the entire apartment whitout a problem.       » READ MORE

I bought this in the hopes that I would be able to print wirelessly to my Canon iP4300. I checked first to make sure that my printer was supported, as I know that can be an issue with print servers. It was on the list so I decided to get this router. This is far from the first print server or wireless router I've worked with.       » READ MORE
