Comment: The 5000+ Black Edition is the ideal choice for users who wish to upgrade their existing AM2 systems. Thanks to its low power dissipation even when overclocked, buying a new cooling solution is unnecessary. Furthermore, the low heat generation also means the system will not become much noisier as a

Very fast shipping recieved next day. This CPU runs very cool at 19 degrees in idle and 28 at load with 3% overclock with stock voltages and a scythe katana heatsink. I bought this CPU becuase it was really cheap $88 and has a unlocked multiplier and is very stable.      » READ MORE

Built a budget system with the Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H. Turned the multiplier at 16x with stock voltage and it has been stable since.       » READ MORE

Purchased this CPU as a temp solution until the B3 Phenoms came out. Easily overclocked to 3.0Ghz on stock voltage. At 3.2Ghz very comparable to the Athlon 64 X2 6000+. Currently running my 5000+ at 3.35Ghz at 1.46V. When factoring in the price the only downfall is that there is only 512KB L2 Cache per core. (Higher Athlon models like the 5600+, 6000+ and 6400+ have 1MB L2 Cache per core)      » READ MORE

Installed this processor today, on the Gigabyte 780G board. So far, it's fast, stable, and easy to overclock. I've put it up to 3.1 Ghz with the cooler i purchased, and have yet to see my temp's rise at all, running at a nice 32 degrees.      » READ MORE

I got this because it was Unlocked and it was a cheap AM2 (price matched g $82) Currently running g 3.1 GHZ on stock voltage. Using a Scythe Katana 2 to cool and it has not been over 30° according to "Core Temp 0.97.1" excellent buy, I may get another for my girlfriends next system.      » READ MORE
