The OCZ Vanquisher aggressively cools your CPU thanks to a pure copper base plate and three copper heat pipes that rapidly transfer heat away from the processor up to the dense, aluminum fin array where the thermal load is quickly dissipated by the included 92mm fan. The efficient heatpipe design moves so much heat that the fin array is able to transfer up to 200 Watts. The Vanquisher also utilizes a unique low speed fan securely mounted to the fins to effectively decrease noise, ensuring minimal distractions at your workstation.
The extremely compact and versatile OCZ Vanquisher CPU cooler is compatible with sockets AMD 754/939/AM2 and Intel 775. Because no motherboard back plate is required, the hassle-free Vanquisher is installed quickly and easily for all skill types. With no need to remove your motherboard to install this cooler, the OCZ Vanquisher can get right to work cooling your CPU and enhancing your computing experience.

This cooler is great for i would say any 775 processor except maybe the extreme edition quads. Overall i have not had any problems at all with it and my computer is never turned off. Runs 24/7 365 and it has not let me down.

Baught this to keep my Q6600 cool, and it does that, 20C ideal and 35C under load. Didn't perform as well when OC to 3.0 GHZ, nearly 40C ideal and 60C load.

I bought this after countless reviews I've read on other heatsinks. It does a good job of cooling. However, it's application on a 939 board is a bit flawed by design. It does't allow the heatsink to be mounted in such a way that it exhuasts itself to the rear of the case due to the bracket and how it connects to the HS. I had to have this blow air onto my videocard 3870. For a budget cooler I can't complain as it does the job and my case is much quieter now

Very good cooler for the price. This keeps my AMD Athlon x2 5200+ f 3.3ghz 20 idle and under 35 at load. Got mine foe $25.

This thing is CHEAP. I got if for my 3.4GHz Prescott single core because the stock fan does nothing when i over clock the CPU. I was running at around 55C idle and now I am down to 39 with this. Great design for the price. Compared to the intel fan clips, this thing was hard to clip on. Not enought room for my fingers and it took me about 6 trys and lots of swearing to get the final clip down. Much harder than the intel fan. Comes with grease already on the copper block FYI.

I bought this for a home theatre pc im building with an AMD X2 4200+. Heat pipes are far superior to standard cooling. The fan is a touch on the loud side but is controlable through bios settings.

It's a good cheap cooler, much better then stock. However on some boards it's extremely hard to install. It took two people to put it onto an XFX 680I LT motherboard, one applying tons of pressure the other locking and twisting.

I got this cooler bundled with a BE 5000+ for free. As far as I can tell, it's basically a rebadged Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro cooler.

It came in a bundle w/ an intel E2160. Allowed it to overclock quite nicely. Good cooler. If I had to spend $30 on a cooler though, I would've gone for an Arctic Cooling unit though.

I bought this for my gaming system. They work great. I'm not using this for anything super intensive, but for my purposes it's been a painless install.
