This is my primary hard drive split into (4) indepenent drives C=250gb, D=250gb, E=250gb and F=250gb. For the extra cost of having a 1TB hard drive, it's the only way to go.

Bought the drive to be my primary storage drive. I made a system and wanted to use my external drives as mirrored drives (just to be safe) so I stored everything on this one. Transfer rates are fast and there's nothing i can really complain about. I would definitely buy it again.

Bought 2 of these HD's so that I could digitize almost all of my CD's. I still have loads of room so I'll add more MP3's that I have from another drive. I also have many Music Video's and a few copied movies too.

Absolutely great, awesome sound quality, good price, definietly worth it. I bought this a couple weeks ago and it's been a real dream. I can easily tell the difference between the onboard sound and this sound.

This drive is a big leap in quality over the Deskstar series.This drive is much more quiet and I have no issues like I was getting with the Deskstar series.I store loads of movies and video clips and this drive is perfect for all those big files.The drive has a 3 year warranty,which isn't as the 5 years being offered by some HD makers but is adequate.

I've had 4 of these for months and I have absolutely nothing to complain about them. In fact I picked up 4 more because they outperform Samsungs and don't fail like some Western Digitals do.

Drive died in 2 months not very pleased with that.RMA process a nightmare with hitachi so many useless shipping rules have to use hard drive holder foam rubber block. Had to find rubber block foam and cut it into the hard drive shape just to RMA it. Hatachi's RMA box seller WIC sells a box for overpriced $18.00 just for a box with some rubber block foam in it OOO so special.

The first one I received was DOA, but fortunately I had ExpessRMA shipping insurance and the replacement drive works great. However, I have it running in an aluminum enclosure and it definitely runs hotter than the 500GB drive I had in there before.

Products sold by NCIXUS.com are covered under a limited 25-day DOA (dead-on-arrival) policy, from the original invoice date, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for testing and refunds to be processed.
- Returned merchandise must NOT be physically damaged, including damage due to improper installation or overclocking. - LCD monitors and other products with LCD displays (i.e.: notebooks, cameras, etc.) adheres to the dead-pixel policy that been established by most of the manufacturers. Any product with an LCD screen must be a minimum of 7 (seven) dead LCD pixels to be considered defective (DOA). Please contact the manufacturer of the product for additional warranty information if you receive a product with less than 7 dead pixels.
