If you can suck it up with the cost, there ain't much better out there when it comes to sound quality. I used to think that onboard sound was just great, and for awhile it was. Until you notice the difference, you won't believe it.

At the moment, for gaming there's still no better than the X-Fi. Shame that while Creative does occasionally (latest XP non-beta driver is from 2006) update the drivers, it seems they've completely forgotten about their software.

Good card. Front panel looks great and useful for "dynamic" connections while port on the card itself usefull for "static" connections. Didnt tried the IR controller yep, but it seems to have interesting controls.

Great sound and never skips. It really takes a load off the CPU. The front bay is great and looks awesome. Would recommend and buy again without a doubt.

The sound quality is great, and the front panel is very good but there's a lot of compatibility issues with this card. If you got a motherboard that uses a nVidia chipset, you might run into some troubles, at least under xp. There gonna be random resets of the sound card, cracks and pops when u put ur mouse on a link in ur internet browser, or when u use ur mousewheel. In some games you might have a high pitch noise for no reason..

I love this series I had orginally a audigy plat the 1st one lol an it was awsome I finally upgraged to this one and I love it the 7.1 is awsome to have Im running 3 home amps one for front speakers an center one for my rear an one for my sub it pounds the hell outta an other setup 5 *****

Very good sound quality. My mp3s sound worse now because of the incredible definition in the sound. Crisp and sharp. Digital in works flawlessly, and the front 5 1/2 bay is perfect.

The X-fi is an all round great sounding card. Gaming has a great positional sound, and music is very detailed. I haven't used the digital out yet but seeing how everything else works great it must do it's job too. I highly recommend this card.

I have bought 2 of these now, the front panel is so damn handy and gives me the choice of headphones or speakers without changing the plugs. Also I can control the volume of my headphones from the panel which is a HUGE help.

- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense.
