Nice little unit put it in my new computer, upgraded from an old IDE burner. Runs nice and quite when burning DVDs. Haven’t had a chance to test it with Bluray or HD-DVD yet. The only notable problem is the horrid software that it comes with, upgrade and or finds something else to use with it.

Great Blu-Ray playback, amazing quality, simple setup, bundle includes Power DVD software suite that automatically updates to the very latest firmware version, and the SATA connectors are much less cumbersome than IDE connectors.

Bought this and installed it in an HTPC. Install was easy, drive is relatively quiet and of pretty good quality. Only problem is the bundled software which you will most likely have to upgrade in order to use the drive at it's full potential.

Great Blu-Ray drive for the price, bought it on sale and it hasn't let me down in the past 4 months of decently heavy use. Problem with the software is that you don't get any. Sure you get the OEM version of PowerDVD that CAN play bluray, but no x264 support, not that VLC would ever come in second.

Installation was a breeze, everything worked from the very beginning just fine. Everything but Blu-Ray playback. So far I wasn't able to play many blu-ray disks - actually only one. The included PowerDVD version is just crap. I tried the trials of PowerDVD, WinDVD, VLC Player, ... - without success. 3 stars only because I think it's a software issue, but expected LG to provide a working solution.

It's cheap and does the job. Mine is unable to play HDDVD (probobly a firmware issue) but I only purchase BD anyways.

I price matched it to 135 so its not bad but I have to pay for WinDVD 9 plus Blu-Ray because the software that comes with it sucks. Windvd works really well providing smooth upscaling on my 30" LCD.

great product. no issues with it. its very silent the only thing is the flashing blue light gets inoying in the dark. and the powerdvd software that comes with it sucks had to buy the new ultra to get the full sound quality..
