purchased the 3000RPM version along with this one and it was way too loud. I'm currently running this 2000RPM version in place of a S-FLEX (1600RPM 28.0DBA 63.7CFM) I was running before and I don't notice too much difference sound wise with the 4db sound difference.

I love Scythe Ultra Kazes generally. I've used the 1k, 2k and 3k RPM models, and have found the 2k RPM ones to be the sweet spot in terms of cooling power and noise. The 1k RPM ones are dead silent but don't move a tonne of air. They're fine for use on a rad like a Thermochill PA series, but you'll want more air movement if you're using a cheaper rad like a Swiftech or HW Labs. Same goes for CPU heatsinks - you'll want the kind of air that the 2k or 3k ones push.

Picked up quite a few of these at a decent price, and I'm happy with both the amount of air they move, and the sound levels they produce.

I use 3 of these on my various rads and they're probably overkill (my rads are optimized for low CFM). Nice fans.. just hook em to a controller to make em quieter when you don't need all those CFM.

I bout a pair of these and I can't complain about the quality as it is great and these thing move TONNES of air so if your'e an air junkie, get this! The price I PM'ed for 9.99 so t under $20 this is a steal, The performance is awesome and there is no annoying sound to accompany that as well as the fact that theses are simply black and that's a plus! These things will probably die out fast though so don't make any lifetime commitments as the lifespan is rated at a mere 30,0000 hours, so if your'e a heavy PC user dont be expecting long lasting fans!

I've ordered 2 of those and I've been quite happy with them so far. The sound they make is not as loud as I'd thought . I'm using one pulling air thru my BIX on my old AMD64 rig and the other one as an exhaust fan. Highly recommended if you want good cooling and not requiring a dead silent PC. I'll get a few spares next time I'm ordering and maybe I'll try the louder and faster model too.

EXCELLENT fan for cooling. Very large 38mm thickness, but for the performance it puts outs its worth it. the noise at 12v is way way too loud for me. Im using a fan controller with this fan to adjust the noise to my liking.

The Scythe Ultra Kaze High Static Pressure fan is a great addition to any case. It provides a lot of air flow and the sound to performance ratio is excellent, as it operates at practically 33dba.

This is an awesome fan for an overclocker who doesn't want a jet engine beside them, but still wants good cooling. I've got 3 of these on my MCR320, and they work great. I would definitely buy these again.
