This is one of the best hdd that I have used. I have abused it with unstopped BT and everything is just perfect. Seagate always have reliable hdds. Highly recommended.

I had no problems with this drive so far. It copies files pretty fast. I have this in an HTPC and I cant hear it even on load (about 8 feet away).

hey, it's only been one day but i want my points now:) it's my first 32mb cache drive so i'm looking forward to benching it. but, i'm thrilled with a 5 year warranty, especially on an oem drive..lovely!

I used it inside a vantec external enclosure and I can't hear the hdd spin at all. Vibrations are non-existent.

This is a great drive. Firmware updates and revisions have updated many of the problems this drive had when it was initially released. It's extremely fast, very reliable and works like a charm.

Excellent price to performance ratio. Windows boot seemed to go considerable faster than with my 7100.7 drive. The install process was easy (SATA). I recommend the 7100.11 series.

Great HDD especially for the price. 500GB under 100$ with a 32mb bugg, and avg seek time. Dont forget the warranty when purchasing. I forget now but seagate has one of the best warranties. This is my first seagate HDD and i currently own two Western Digitals and they have lasted me years without dieing.

The Seagate brand has always catered to my appeal. Based on other reviews and personal experience, they are one of the most reliable Hard Drive brands out on the market. Ordered 2 more of these bad boys, combined with the Thermaltake iCage, I feel these drive will serve well for several years.

This is a great drive and I'd highly recommend it to anyone currently looking for a hard drive. It's both fast, cool and much quieter then the 7200.10 and I have plans on making this my primary drive after listing to my 7200.10 seek for the past few months. At it's current price, you really cannot go wrong.

This series of drives has been plagued from the start apparently. Whether you get a drive that is dead on arrival, or dies within a month expect trouble when you buy this thing. The fail rate appears to fall somewhere between 10-15% and don't expect much help from either NCIX or Seagate. Seagate just shrugged and told me their warranty is junk and to RMA through NCIX. Anything I post on their message forums regarding the fail rate of these drives or any questions about warranty service gets deleted.

Products sold by NCIXUS.com are covered under a limited 25-day DOA (dead-on-arrival) policy, from the original invoice date, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for testing and refunds to be processed.
- Returned merchandise must NOT be physically damaged, including damage due to improper installation or overclocking. This includes any physical alteration to the product, modifications not approved by the manufacturer, bent pins, etc. No returns, refunds or exchanges for any special order products, Notebooks, PDAs, Televisions, Retail Box Software, OEM Software, Computer Games, Video Games, DVDs, CDs, or any products marked as "no returns" or carries a similar description on the products' page. All products are eligible for original manufacturer's warranties. Please contact the manufacturer directly. All fees, including "shipping and handling", insurance coverage fees, and "Rapid Replacement" fees are non-refundable.
- Returns MUST include all original parts and packing materials and an NCIXUS.com RMA number, or the return will be rejected. NCIXUS.com reserves the right to refuse any returns or refunds for merchandise. DOA items may be returned within 25 days of ordering and may be subject to a 15% restocking fee at the discretion of NCIXUS.com.
- LCD monitors and other products with LCD displays (i.e.: notebooks, cameras, etc.) adheres to the dead-pixel policy that been established by most of the manufacturers. Any product with an LCD screen must be a minimum of 7 (seven) dead LCD pixels to be considered defective (DOA). Please contact the manufacturer of the product for additional warranty information if you receive a product with less than 7 dead pixels.
All product warranty coverage after 25-days will be handled directly by the product manufacturer. NCIXUS.com reserves the right to refuse any returns or refunds for merchandise.
