Another day, another 8800GT; this time it comes in the form of a Palit offering. The good news is it’s a bit more interesting than your standard run of the mill 8800GT which we have all become so accustom to now.

Just got it today and installed it, a jump from 7K'ish 3dmark6 to 11K'ish compared to old 8600gt right away.

Very nice 8800GT card, with the big heatsink, this card stays cool in my Antec 900 case even after hours of playing games. It it also a lot less noisy then my old 7600GT card where the fan sounded like an airplane while gaming. Has to be one of the best 8800GT cards out there.

I went from a 6800gs in my old amd64 system to this card in my new quadcore rig and it's just amazing how easy dx9 ans d3d10 games run. I can play crysis really smoothly and since I never been an High res. gamer I love how it performs in 1024*768. I OCed the card to 1700/linked/975 and it is very stable, GPU is about 55 degrees while playing crysis maxed out and 40 idle.

Very nice card and in the sub $250, good bang VS buck. Replaced my x800xl, huge leap in power. As stated in weaknesses, this card is real long and was darn close to the hard drive wiring. Other than that, a great upgrade worth the money and would recommend it.

This card even fit in my Antec Sonata III case with an extra tricool fan. It is a tight fit, but works well with the chassis fan blowing extra air across the card I'm sure the extra vent out the rear helps too. My card came clocked exactly as specified.

Same problems as the reviewer before me: my card did not come with advertised over-clocked speeds. The diagnostic tools show 600 MHz GPU freq, 1512 Shader Clock, 900 MHz Memory Frequency GPU.

Rivatuner and ATItool and a bios reader all state this card is not running the clocks advertised. (600 and 1800 for mine) The core my card gives out at 712 MHZ and the RAM goes at 1068, sweet ram, a run of the mill core. Not getting what you paid for is not cool, would not buy Palit again, but will keep this card. RIVATUNER rocks.

This card is amazing. Got it on sale and considering the price, it's the best 8800GT out right now. The cooling that comes with the card works wonders, I'm clocked at 700/2000 right now and having no issues whatsoever. Tried pushing the GPU clock to 720 but started to get artifacts in Atitool. The fan is pretty quiet and I can barely hear it over my CPU and case fans when it's under full load. This card doesn't suffer from the overheating and fan issues of the other 8800GTs. Jumped from around 5200 3DMarks running dual XFX 8600GT XXX in SLI to 10200 simply by switching to this card. The only problem I had was that the given my small case (Antec Sonata III), the case fans I have, and the size of this card, it was a bit of squeeze to get the power connector to plug in but nothing major.

I've seen this card running a 750/2000mhz . I don't really see the need for it though as it runs everything I can throw at it.
