Wondering about 1GB Vs 512MB? Read here. Short story, no difference. To use >512mb ram apparently also req's >256bit bus. However, the new 2-slot cooler helps a lot. If you're gonna get an aftermarket cooler, might as well put in $40 more than the 512mb version and get this Palit with a good cooler

With this video card, your gaming graphic will not go wrong. I use all high setting in my games (NBA live 08 and PES 2008), and also it has a free game (Tomb Raider).

I truly love this card. I upgraded from a 8600GT and can now play all of my games at their highest video settings. Now I can look forward to high end DirectX 10 games in the future.

I bought this card to replace my ATI X1900XTX which was reaching end of life. Since my ATI card was constantly running in the 75-80 C range under load, I was looking for any equivalent or better card with a better factory GPU cooling solution. I read the reviews of the Palit cards and decided to give it a try. I was a bit skeptical since my previous card had this exhaust system to push the hot air outside the case while this one does not. It turns out, this exhaust design does not work as one would intuitively expect...

This is overall an excellent card, and performance you wouldnt expect of a no-name brand card. I have nothing bad to say about this card. its overclockable with rivatuner, but I have foudn to have some trouble pushing it without a voltmod.

I love this card. The graphics are great. Getting a 24 inch lcd monitor to try it out on a better resolution. Games run without a hitch and videos have no skip whatsoever. Great buy.

I can't compliment this card enough. To anyone who says a card can't use that much memory, I easily have seen it at 800-958 usage with Rivatuner. If you know how to cram stuff onto the vram, it can only help. The card runs insanely cool compared to reference GT designs, all while making no noise. Idles at 40C, peaks at 60C, 55C is about the average when under heavy load. The fan must spool up a few more percentage points at 60C, cause it immediately jumps back down into the low 50s, but the sound never increases.
