Good overclocking ability. Fast performer but generates a lot of heat when overclocked. Requires a good motherboard and heatsink. Works well with ASUS P5Q Deluxe Motherboard.

I've actually purchased an OEM of this processor. On my current build with a Thermalright 120, I was able to push this processor very easily to 3.2GHz without any voltage adjustments at all. Rock solid performance, highly recommended.

Well with 2.66 stock speed is better than Q6600. Also it's a 45nm cpu with 12mb cache memory. I was able to push it to 3.5 or better with water cooling. Was not able to push higher than that right now. Will try latter. Overall, is a great buy. Got it for around 300.

The CPU runs like a charm. It's stock fan is actually really good, it keep's it cool and it is quiet. Even if there are not many applications who are Quad-Core, you still can run two dual-core application with minimal loss of performance. This CPU is really good for gaming. I really recommend it!!!

We were building a system with sheer horsepower and storage since our development team needs a system to do software translation. Rather than fork out over a thousand dollars for the high end Intel chip, I figured we would give this quad-core a shot. Out of the 10 systems I've built at work, 8 have been Intel (the other two were AMDs for regular desktop usage). This is a good purchase, particularly when it's on sale.
