So I hit 3.6ghz (450fsb) with 1.31v but with WC (and a top of line one: 120.3, d-tek V2, Mcp655, Mcp20) the max overclock at stock voltage was 3ghz (388). If you expect to hit pass 3.2 than WC will be needed.

I bought mine before the Q9450s were available, but it's been worth it I guess, even though Q9450s have been on sale lately. Overall it's been a great CPU so far. I've overclocked it to 3.4GHz with ease.

I got this instead of the Q9450 because it was out of stock but have no regrets what so ever. Overclocked mine to 3.6Ghz easy with asus rampage.

Despite the low multiplier ( max of 8 ), I love this processor. It overclocks really nice on my DFI. I got it up to 3.4 GHz easily using 1.3 Voltage, 1:1 with memory at 850 Mhz (5-5-5-15) OCZ platinum rev 2

I haven't tried overclocking yet because I want to iron out all the problems with my other parts first. I'll update later. As for stock speeds, this thing is pretty darn good. I may be biased though as I am moving from a single core Athlon 3000+.

Overall very good CPU, overclocks good at low temps even on stock cooling. I've overclocked mine to 3.2Ghz easily and it runs around 40 (30 at stock). Not too expensive for what it delivers.

Runs fast and cool. Great for general desktop apps but runs very well for encoding, decompression and video rendering apps like Adobe Premiere CS3, Photoshop etc. As long as your board supports it, there's no reason to hold out for a Q9450 if you are currently in the market for one:)
