Stylish and slim
The FS100 is an ultra-compact, lightweight camcorder that you can take anywhere. It records to SD or SDHC memory cards, doing away with the need to accommodate bulky media such as tapes. Super-stylish, it looks as good as the movies it shoots.
Memory card recording
Recording directly to memory cards, the FS100 makes sharing movies easy – give cards to friends, or insert a card into a compatible card reader to transfer video to a computer. Card sizes are constantly increasing, so the FS100’s capacity grows as technology advances.
45x Advanced Zoom
Capture even far-off events – such as football match or a concert – in every detail with a 45x Advanced Zoom. The combination of a genuine Canon video lens and powerful DIGIC DV II processing provides incredibly long range.

The FS100 is also a high quality digital stills cameras including features such as Auto Exposure Bracketing, continuous shooting and a histogram display. DIGIC DV II records colours that look great in printed photos.

With a USB 2.0 Hi Speed connection, all you need is a single cable to transfer movies and photos to a computer.
DVDs made easy
The DW-100 – Canon’s standalone DVD burner – is the perfect partner for the FS100. At the push of a button, movies are burned straight to disc. Discs are compatible with ordinary home DVD players.

Pixela ImageMixer(TM) 3 SE lets you organise, play back and edit your video clips, then convert them to alternative file formats. The software also offers DVD creation features – another easy way to share footage.

Bought this for family videos and vacation stuff and love it. Very light, battery seems to last forever (compared to others I've used) , starts up really quick, easy to use with SD cards although I did learn that a standard SD card reader won't read the cards and had to come back the next day and buy a SDHC card reader. Also, one of the reasons I purchased this was because is NOT HD. I looked at a few others and the memory used for HD video greatly reduces the recording time available on the cards and the compression artifacts were all much worse.

Bought one to replace a jvc everio that's 2 yrs old and broken. It's lighter, because it doesn't have a hard drive, but works just as well or better than the jvc, except no wide angle lens available for it. A 16gb sdhc card will give you 3hrs 45min of recording at the best quality ( 9mbps )and the battery is good for almost 3 hours on a charge. free program on net called "sd copy" will transfer the files off the card and rename the mpg headers correctly for widescreen mode. Vegas works great with these files.

Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. - LCD monitors and other products with LCD displays (i.e.: notebooks, cameras, etc.) adheres to the dead-pixel policy that been established by most of the manufacturers. Any product with an LCD screen must be a minimum of 7 (seven) dead LCD pixels to be considered defective (DOA). Please contact the manufacturer of the product for additional warranty information if you receive a product with less than 7 dead pixels.
