an awesome heatsink matching up and pwning the true ultra-120 and ultima 90 for nearly half the price!!!. The base was very flat with only minor tooling marks. can't wait to buy the s1284 (same heatsink but with 4 heatpipes) for my next build!

After reading the review on a number of sites, the HDT-S1283 was consistently rated one of the best coolers for the lowest price. It does it's job for a very cheap price, lowering my temp's by 10 degrees.

I was considering the TR-UE cooler, but its price put me off. This HSF is definitely one of the best; efficient design that allow cools way better than any other. The tower size, though, may be trouble for some. For the Antec 900, using this HSF will prevent you from having a side case fan for example. Also, be sure to get some decent thermal paste like AS5 or MX-2.

The heatsink looks better then the stock cooler, and the af7 i had, and for it's size it cools very well. IT is only a few c's behind the true for a much cheaper cost. The fan could be better but what can u ask for when getting one with a heatsink. All over all it is a great buy for the price, combine it with tx-2 thermal paste and a proper mount it will cool just as good or even better then a true. (well unless the true has a proper mount and tx-2)

Bought this to cool my E8400 and this baby does an amazing job at it. The ideal temp is between 35-40C, and load is 40-50C. The only problem is that it doesn't fit well with my CM690 because it was so big that it could not fit both the heat sink and a side fan. overall, a very god heatsink for a very low price.

Wow.... this thing lowered my temps by ~13 Celsius. It fit in my mid tower case which i still wasnt sure about until i put on the side panel(no room for a fan on the panel.) My one issue is that with my m2n-e mobo im not sure how to mount this so that the airflow direction is out the back of the case, could only get it to go top or bottom so i went with top so that my psu could help exhaust the air rather then heating up the back of my video card. Other then that, definitely recommend this.

Cools my AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition very well, Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H motherboard. Great value and just as good as other $50+ heatsinks. Only drawback, the rubber pushpins to install the fan are a bit of a pain, but i manage to fit the fan without breaking any of the pins.
