What can I say, it is failing... I've had it for a month now and I'm getting bad sectors left right and middle... Quickly I'll get me a replacement drive and send this one back, before all my data is irremediably lost... :-O

Bought this for a friends build. This is probably the best option for a system drive without having to go the SSD route or with a 15000 RPM drive. Plenty of space to install all of your games and faster than all the competitor's drives of a similar caliber. Haven't had a chance to bench this yet so no stats for now.

Got three of them for storage and they are blazing fast! They can get a little loud on seek though but you won't notice them over the your fan noise.

Bought two of these for my file server. They are running fine under Windows Server 2008. Performance is better than the Seagate Barracuda drives they replaced, and they are quieter than I thought they'd be. If you're looking for performance, this drive is a good choice.

this is my first WD drive and it is much quieter than any maxtor i have previously had. its quick, fairly cheap and the transfer rates are quite fast for a platter drive

If you want a lot of space whie getting the fastest transfer speed, at an affordabe price then different get the WD 1 tb back edition. No probems with it so far.

The Western Digital Black hard drives are probably one of the best drives in the market right. I've never had a problem with them compared to Seagate. I would recommend them to everyone.

got this in combo with the D-Link DNS-323. I added another one to run in raid 1. So far there has been no problems. I have never had proplems with any western digital drives in the past.
