Just look at all the reviews for this beast, it's still unbeatable. I am a huge Nvidia fan but this was just too tempting, Ati has finally made me a fan of their vidoe cards with this. Very very very good card, highly recommend it.

This is a great card. I highly recommend you buy this. THis card can run every game out there max settings with decent FPS. I bought 2 of these and I can easily run Crysis Warhead maxed with 4xAA at 1920 x 1200. Amazing card. There are a few weaknesses but those can be fixed. The card used to run hot so I just edited a profile and now have the fan at 45%. Now the card never goes above 70c. Although the biggest downside is warranty because no ATI partner allows for after market cooling but you wont need it for this card.

Overall, this is an amazing card. Games have never looked so good, or played as smoothly. It was a huge upgrade over my aging 1950GT. The only downsides are, at this moment there are no ATI approved methods of raising the fan speed, and in turn lowering the ridiculous GPU temps. An idle of 70+ degrees is not acceptable. A quick Google search, and you'll find there is an answer to the above issue. Still, ATI should have done this themselves.

This is a great card. It's got wicked-fast performance and despite the huge cooler it runs very quiet. Forget about the fan-fix: the card is rock solid running at 80 degrees, there's no reason to run it cooler unless you want to OC or have some desperate need to hear the fan spinning all the time.

I bought two of these cards and have them configured in a full 16x Crossfire configuration (you'll need a motherboard with an Intel X48 setup for this) and the performance has blown me away. I was playing Bioshock with all setting maxed with no lag while a daily virus scan was running in the background. Considering two of these will destroy a single Nvidia GTX280 card for about the same price, I would very highly recommend them, and even if you can only afford one, it will still outperform a single Nvidia GTX260 for less than the 260. These cards are the best performance for the best price!

Overall a great card, upgraded from a 9800 pro so I saw quite a large performance increase. Card needs a fan fix out of the box, default was 22% and ran at 80C idle, now is at 35-40% and runs at 50C under load

I was expecting killer performance but I did not get it. My 8800GT scored 13500 in 3DMark06 and this card in the same rig only scored 1000 more points. For the price it is a good card but I was expecting 15000+ for a score. It games very well and I have not had the driver issues that I had when my 8800GT was new. Hopefully as the drivers mature the performance will pick up.

Bought this card 1 month ago, and i have to say that this was an awesome option when thinking about price:performance ratio. It's very quiet, but someties it seems pretty warm. Overall, i would definately buy this card again in a couple of months for crossfire.

great video card, quite a bit difference compared to the 8800gt and 8800gts, more than double the fps with this ati 4870, nice colors, has a nice look to it, for the price cant go wrong, only i think its not as crazy as i expected from the top of the ati video cards, only way to top it is crossfire them

Amazing card. Upgraded from an POS 8600GT to this, and the performance increase is awesome! Plus on top of all that it shipped in like half a day from when the payment cleared!The only downside is that I have to play all of my games on a 17 inch crt because my bank wouldn't allow me to buy the 22in lcd that I wanted because I have to wait 6 days for my check to clear:(
