These hard drives are a really good price, which is why I bought 2, one for my laptop and one for a PS3. The one in the PS3 is running fine still, but the one I got for my laptop died after being in the laptop for only 2 weeks. It maybe had 10 hours of running time on it, so it was definately a factory defect. I RMA'd it to NCIX, so here's to hoping the next one I get is better.

I used this to replace the hard drive of my PS3. I don't really notice a speed increase (and wasn't expecting to anyway). I was really after the price/GB. This should take a while to fill up :D

This lives in a USB enclosure for the time being, but the access time improvement (vs a 5400rpm 2.5") is quite noticeable.

Installation was simple on my XPS M1530 laptop. Makes less noise than my previous Fujitsu 5400rpm 250GB drive and is noticeably faster. A solid upgrade for any dual core laptop with sata drives or your PS3.

I bought this drive a couple of weeks ago, however had misplaced my primary drive bay (I had old drive installed in secondary.) After this past weekend I formatted the drive and am now using it as my secondary. (have to order a primary drive bay because I have no idea where the old one went ARGH!)

After reading and seeing how easy it was to replace the HDD on a PS3 I decided to pick up this drive to replace the original 40GB that came with the PS3. A half hour of work, most of which was spent on backing up and restoring the data, and a roughly 10x memory boost with faster read speeds which will be nice for watching movies off the HDD once the PSNetwork launches their new program.

Products sold by NCIXUS.com are covered under a limited 25-day DOA (dead-on-arrival) policy, from the original invoice date, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by NCIXUS.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for testing and refunds to be processed.
- Returned merchandise must NOT be physically damaged, including damage due to improper installation or overclocking. - LCD monitors and other products with LCD displays (i.e.: notebooks, cameras, etc.) adheres to the dead-pixel policy that been established by most of the manufacturers. Any product with an LCD screen must be a minimum of 7 (seven) dead LCD pixels to be considered defective (DOA). Please contact the manufacturer of the product for additional warranty information if you receive a product with less than 7 dead pixels.
