GeForce GTS 250. This is probably the card that, by all rights, the 9800 GTX+ should have been, because it consolidates the gains that switching to a 55nm fab process can bring.
The first mid-range offering of NVIDIA's GeForce 200 series is here, in the form of the GTS 250. As a follow-up to the company's 9800 GTX+, we already have a good idea of what to expect. But, various improvements aim to make things interesting, such as a redesigned PCB, smaller form-factor,

Overall IMHO this card has performed great without overclocking in most the games that I play today. I have not needed to use a gpu oc program to increase performance, and I have not splurged to upgrade my mobo and another gpu to get SLI.

This a great little card, Decent performance for a decent price. It will suffise to any gamer not playing at high res. If you don't plan on buying a 24" inch monitors well there's a good chance you won't need to buy a faster cards. Again like all other Nvidia card, you can always add a second one and run them in SLI.

I got this card to fill in the extra PCIe slot to do Foldingohome :-) It performs at about 4000 to 6000 points per day which is about twice as much as my other card, an EVGA E-GEFORCE 9800GT Superclocked 650MHZ 512MB 1.9GHZ 256BIT GDDR3 Dual DVI-I HDTV Out Video Card.

This card may not be the 60+ fps crysis cruncher but for the price it's performance is amazing.

I have 2 or 3 clients who have purchased and used this card, and when it comes to performance per dollar, this card is a great choice. The only thing I've heard back, is that the fan is a little bit loud, however I've also heard that it stays relatively cool, so perhaps the loud fan is something you're going to deal with to keep your GPU at cool temps. Great choice for someone who doesn't want to jump up into the GTX range.
