Everything is great, meet all the expectation. Didn't try the speakers because it wasn't a important criteria for me..I needed a monitor, not a sound system. Was more sturdy than expected. Got to LG 23EA53 at work that are way more wobbly.

Need to replace a dual monitor setup, could find anything come close to the value of this monitor. Had all the connections I wanted, but I haven't tried the audio yet. Last Acer monitors lasted me 7 years so here is hoping.
Awesome monitor for 1080p resolution that fits old ports or new (VGA vs HDMI). Great value for a small price. Also, ordered online and received it within less than 24 hours via free shipping! Recommended to all.

Pros -3 separate inputs with 3 included cables -Tiltable angle -Wall mountable
Cons -No swivel/height adjustment -Cannot remove monitor stand once mounted without breaking a plastic lock piece -TN/LCD, not the most accurate colour reproduction/viewing angles
Summary Bought for daily and basic use with light gaming.
Great for a multi-device setup as it has 3 separate inputs that can be used simultaneously, however, a TN/LCD panel does not have the best colour reproduction, and gaming on this monitor is not the best as it is only 60Hz refresh and 5ms response, but it can pass for light gaming or games that do not require fast refresh rates.
The monitor stand I found was impossible to remove without breaking a plastic lock piece that would not unlock no matter what I tried. Other owners seem to have the same problem as well. It also features no swivel or height adjustment but it does have tilt for a better viewing angle is preferred.

Cons This monitor does not have built-in speakers as stated
Summary Good price for a 24" monitor. Like I said above, the description said it has built-in speakers, but it doesn't; not a deal breaker. Keys are hidden at the bottom of the monitor, very hard to find.
Summary This monitor is exactly what I wanted. Cheapest price (at the time on sale) for a 24in, has plenty of connection options including HDMI which I didn't see on comparable monitors. The build quality is flimsy, but perfectly adequate to just sit on a desk. I also bought some of the other cheapest 24in monitors and they only came with one cable; this one comes with ALL the cables.
Pros Cheap, bright, has VGA, DVI and HDMI connections.
Cons Stand is a bit wobbly
Summary Need to replace a dual monitor setup, could find anything come close to the value of this monitor. Had all the connections I wanted, but I haven't tried the audio yet. Last Acer monitors lasted me 7 years so here is hoping.
Cons Poor sound. Wobbly. Picture adjustments are awkward.
Summary I bought this monitor needing only a larger work surface than the old style monitor that I was using. Overall I'm happy with it. It was simple to set up. It delivers a good picture from right in front but the black fades quickly as one moves a small amount to either side. The whole assembly is a bit wobbly. It's almost impossible to get the thing level and when you try to make adjustments to the picture (using the poorly placed buttons on the lower right underside of the unit) the level is invariably disturbed and the whole thing leans like a poorly hung painting. I sit directly in front. I don't use the onboard speakers and I'm unlikely to adjust the picture often so I'm content with this product.
Pros Great Price, Awesome display, Multiple outputs (VGA, DVI, HDMI)
Cons None so far
Summary Awesome monitor for 1080p resolution that fits old ports or new (VGA vs HDMI). Great value for a small price. Also, ordered online and received it within less than 24 hours via free shipping! Recommended to all.
Summary For the sale price, this is a good basic monitor. It has triple inputs which should allow you to match it with even the older pc (d-sub), standard DVI or HDMI. The bezels are slim enough to be non-obtrusive and the monitor itself is lightweight since it doesn't have an onboard power supply. Power is provided by an external brick which could be convenient for some people but a con for some.
It seems to cycle through the inputs automatically or if you need to select, there are physical light-touch buttons on the lower right hand corner of the monitor. I would have preferred the pressure sensitive on-bezel switches (like on some samsung monitors) but the controls of the S241HL is still a vast improvement on say an old acer X183H. The stand isn't as wide as older acer models either, but this is a fairly light monitor for a 24" model so it doesn't need a very wide base.
The only complaint is the onboard speakers - while they are nice to have, you can almost not hear any sound coming from a non-amplified device. Output from a pc should be fairly discernible in a quiet room but would be totally imperceptible in a noisy environment or if your pc has noisy fans. An additional line out would be appreciated so that a headphones or amplified speakers could be plugged into the back of the monitor instead of the pc itself.
It's still a TN panel so don't expect IPS clarity and quality. It is still a good monitor specially at the $150 mark considering that it comes with VGA, DVI, HDMI and stereo patch cables
Pros DVI, HDMI, VGA inputs Comes with three (3) cables: DVI, HDMI, and VGA! Analog audio input Built in speakers 100mm VESA
Cons Low audio output speakers
Summary Display looks as good as any other TN panels with a matte display that I've seen. Very peculiar that Acer doesn't advertise on their website that the monitor is VESA capable, has built in speakers, and comes with three cables.
Using an HDMI capable, my computer drives audio through to the built in speakers. But, the audio output is surprisingly low at 100% audio output on both the computer and the monitor. Though it describes it as having 1.5 watt speakers, it's as though the built in audio amplifier is deficient. But other reviews on the web have said the same so I know that's expected in this model. I also checked the analog audio input and the same issue...low audio output.
But, this can be a good thing! If the monitor is to be used in a work environment, you'll never get anyone in the next office or cubicle complaining about 'loud audio' from the person next door.
This monitor comes with three cables. Something that I've never seen before in a tri-input monitor. Good on the part of Acer to include them.
