Paid 1100 bucks for my card, didn't get a free game, no sale price.
Get the card, hyped as ever, after a couple hours of playing the card makes the screen go black and makes me hard reset.

This card is a beast. It runs all my games maxed out at 1440p on my ACER XB27HU without a hiccup. I have it overclocked and it runs very cool. Anyone looking for a high end card should look no further.

Pros - Great customer service by EVGA - Good quality card / good OC results
Cons - In their rush to get product to the market EVGA made critical QA errors. - Pricey (I bought this at $929)
Summary In their rush to get product to market, EVGA made two critical errors 1st was a VRM issue which caused some cards to crash; (black screen + fan at 100%) As this was part of my NCIX PC build, I was able to RMA the card with minimal hassle within the first month.
However, a 2nd more critical issue was discovered a few weeks after my RMA. That is, all cards manufactured to that point lacked thermal pads connecting the backplate to the VRM chips, which meant the backplate wasn't doing its full job to to cool parts of the card. This required a BIOS update and a more thorough manual process to put thermal pads on to the card, which EVGA provided for free.
However, I decided to RMA my card direct to EVGA this time to get a new card with the thermal pads applied.
All in all, went through 2 cards. EVGA / NCIX great customer service made things pretty smooth as I had zero downtime without having a card. EVGA shipped card out while I still had my current card and I was allowed to keep using it until I received their replacement. They even paid for my shipping back to them.
Lesson here is sometimes, even the best will mess up.
Summary Paid 1100 bucks for my card, didn't get a free game, no sale price. Get the card, hyped as ever, after a couple hours of playing the card makes the screen go black and makes me hard reset. No more problems til 2 days later when it does the it again, this time power locking my mother board. Left it alone for 24 hours, was too mad to even think properly. After some testing on my PC came to the conclusion the card needed to be sent back, it was busted. NCIX is amazing so they did a quick RMA for me and the new card has no problems! It runs fast as lightning , is quiet in my opinion, and the new fans keep it cool!
Thanks to NCIX and their awesome customer service!
Pros - Beast of a card that handles everything I throw at it!
Cons - Quality Assurance let a bad batch through.
Summary A bad batch of this model was shipped and I was one of the unlucky ones. Screen would go black, all fans cranked to full, and I'd have to force restart the PC. NCIX was great about a quick and expedient RMA (though I had to pay for return shipping). The new card works great, and EVGA claims to have removed the bad batch from stock, so future customers shouldn't have to worry about it. I've had no issues with the replacement card, and I love it.
Pros -Powerful and power efficient -RGB Lighting -Runs cool even when overclocked
Cons None

Pros Not very loud, overclocks well, runs 1440p ultra like a champ. dont need silly sli anymore.
Cons costed $700, but worth it.
Summary i can run battlefield 1 in 1440p ultra at 120 fps.dont have to worry about whether or not a game supports sli/crossfire! this much power with a single card is amazing!
Summary I use this card to power my 1440p and 1080p monitors. When the card is running at 100% load (playing game/running tests), the max temperature ever reached is only 70 degrees. That is quite impressive because the max fan speed is set to 50% and the card's dead silent.
Summary Moved up from EVGA GTX 970 SLI FTW Editions and have gotten about 20-30% better performance in all games at 1440p and no l0onger have to deal with SLI issues. i highly reccomend for anyone who can afford it
Cons Not as quick as I thought it would be,but more powerful than the 900 series making it excellent for video editing.
Summary For gaming or working this is a great card to have, Qverclocked already this card stays cool and is fairly quiet. So far has kept up with anything I have put against it without heavy frame loss.
Pros - Uberfast. - Unless you start playing graphic intensive games, fans are not rotating. My case if well ventilated, so I play Cities Skylines and fans are still not moving, temp stick around 50 degreeC. - Quality made, very solid feel of aluminum and quality plastic.
Cons - Overpriced. If you wait for few months, it should come down a hundred or two. - Looks a bit too much. I like industrial look, but this is Rammstein meets Prada.
Pros - Backplate - Slaughters the most demanding games in 1080p and 1440p, and a great amount of current gen games in 4K. - Absolutely ZERO coil whine - Amazingly quiet under load - Great temps even while playing in 4K (Around 60 degrees celsius) - RGB Colours!!!!! - DX12 Monster - Sleek and Sexy Design (Barely fit in my case)
Cons - Very little Supply with such high Demand causes prices to jump on a daily basis. This could drive away some potential buyers. - Performance Cons? NONE!!
Summary Upgraded from ONE Zotac Geforce GTX 970 and I can tell you that there is no way that TWO 970s in SLI will come near this one card. Pre ordered when it was a lot less than what it is advertising for now and dont regret it. A lot of features for what you pay for. If this is out of your budget, you can get the 1070 variant which is1 almost identical in size and design. To conclude this is an amazing single card and if you are familiar with EVGA's customer service reputation, you will not go wrong with this purchase.
Pros - Performance. Out of the box no overclocking, my card can hold a steady 2025Mhz on the GPU. - ACX 3.0 = very quiet operation. - Precision XOC much easier to use than previous versions.
Cons - 2 months since launch and there are still supply issues with GTX1080s. - Related to above, the fluctuating price. I bought mine at $80 over MSRP after currency conversion. It is currently $130 over, and has been higher. - Program issues; Precision XOC not saving profiles. - Not EVGA's fault, but some games under-performing with current Nvidia drivers.
Summary - The card itself is a beast, would absolutely recommend. A lot of people complained about the 1860Mhz boost clock speed being a very minor upgrade from the SC edition, but I am getting 165Mhz more than advertised and without having to do anything, so I'm happy. - Supply and price issues are not EVGA's fault. - Once I have some more time, will have to play around with Precision XOC more to see what I can really get out of this card and if I beat the silicon lottery.
