This model is based on a CWT (Channel Well Technology OEM) platform, and (knock on wood) I have yet to have any problems with it after more than four years. It performs as expected and is nice and quiet.\
The design isn't "fully" modular, but the one cable that does not detach should not be an insurmountable obstacle. It comes with plenty of cables and a velcro-closure bag for storing them, as well as a velvet-type bag to prevent scratches on the PSU itself.
I recently purchased another one to keep as a backup, and while I dislike the new sticker (the one in the above images is no longer accurate) it's more of the same. They have also changed the packaging - it's a little bit more OEM'y and less durable, but compared to the fancy coated box of a few years ago it's also more eco-friendly.

Looks great. I love that you only need to plug in the leads you use, makes for better airflow in your case. Is decently quiet.
|
The leads for the SATA power are upside-down for me, not a big deal.
|
I was impressed by the packaging and extras included with the power supply. I love that the power leads are removable, and you only need to install the ones you are actually going to use. Great for airflow, and makes for a tidy case.
Works great, purchased to replace a 6 year old Antec that outlived its usefulness.

Quiet, modular and does what it's supposed to. Sturdy and heavy.
|
Very stiff cables. Had to exchange because of defective product.
|
Put together a new gaming rig and this PSU began making weird chirping noise. The noise wasn't very loud but noticeable. The cables weren't so stiff either. I had it replaced and the new PSU is fine but the cables are VERY STIFF. I cannot bend my ATX and GPU cables or they'll either break or break my motherboard lol. Will need to buy extensions in the future.

-Looks good.

-Emits a highly irritating buzzing sound. -Shuts down my system whenever I load something which requires a lot of power.
|
While I was able to boot my system when I first received this unit, it would shut down automatically as soon as a loaded a game or a benchmark of some sort.
After testing with another computer, it started to smell like burning, so I just RMA'd the unit.

Excellent quality lots of wattage Modular Very efficient Long warranty (7 years) Lots of cables 2 bags included Silent

Doesn't look as good as on the picture shown MIR instead of instant rebate
|
Not much to say here, the Corsair Professional line of power supplies have an excellent reputation of quality and performance. It's very efficient (80 Plus Gold). It has all the cables I'll ever need and comes with 2 bags for storing them. It comes with 4 pci-e cables and I'm using only one with a Radeon HD 7850. It looks different from the picture, I wish it didn't. 750W is a little overkill for my new PC but it was on sale and cheaper than HX650. I have the HX620 on my previous PC and I've come to like the modular design for better cable management. It's even less expensive than the HX620 I bought 5 years ago.

This power supply is really quiet, in fact I haven't even noticed it at all. Gives me PLENTY of power. The cables look great and they're very long, the power supply itself looks very nice as well.
This is the first time I spend alot of money for a power supply, but seeing I've had multiple power supply problems in the past, I can now sleep well seeing I have a professional PS that is less likely to fail.
It's certified 80+ gold and has a SEVEN years warranty, couldn't ask for more.

I bought this PSU to replace my old HX520 since I needed more power and it's been fantastic so far. It's 80plus silver certified so it's highly efficient, and in most reviews you'll find that the performance is just barely under gold certification. The unit is also very silent, and it uses flat cables so you'll get less restriction with airflow. My HX520 lasted me over 5 years without any problems, and I'll trust that this HX750 will be the same.

Runs cool and quiet. Perfectly stable voltage rails running an i7 3770K Ivy Bridge build, an HD 6970 graphics card, and multiple hard drives. Modular build is fantastic--I already owned the TX750 (essentially the same, but non-modular), and cabling and organization is incredibly neat and easier. Will only use modular PSU's from now on. Comes with a nice bag for the modular cables that are unneeded, case screws, as well as black zip ties for organization. Even with overclocking and dual video cards, depending on your particular build, the chances are that you will not require more than the 750 of clean Watts that this unit provides, considering how much more power efficient modern processors and graphics cards have become.

This was a huge upgrade from my 550w Cooler Master PSU that I had previously been using.
The fact that this is a modular power supply helps enormously with cable management inside of your case, and lets you select which cables you want to use instead of having the entire thing just lay there.
Packaging is very nice, it comes in a nice slip case, and the cables have their own carrying case as well. If you can find this on sale somewhere, it is definitely worth the money. You won't be disappointed.

I have had this PSU for over a year powering my X58 i7-920 system.
I picked it up to replace an older OCZ unit that wouldn't let my X58 board POST (but still works on an AMD unit).
Very quiet PSU and the voltages remain rock-stable at all load-levels. Modular design allows you to only use the cables that you need without having a tangled mess of cables that you are not using cluttering up the case.

Performs great in every area (sound, output quality, efficiency and on and on...), flat ribbon cables are easy to work with.
|
Not completely silent or fully modular.
|
It's not really a weakness that it isnt fully silent, as i doubt you will hear this over anything else in your case, and any rig you build that needs 750 watts will be using a 24 pin and 8 pin (the only non modular cables).
The flat ribbon cables that the corsair hx line use are much easier to work with than the usual fully sleaved cables. The cable lengths are also great, you should be able to easily get the 24 pin and 8 pin behind the mobo tray with a bottom mounted psu in almost any full tower.

Bought this for my first *real* enthusiasts case, a Corsair Obsidian 800. Power supply fit perfectly, the modular design was very helpful in keeping the number of cables to a minimum, even if it's not strictly needed with the Corsair case which can hide an awful lot of cables behind the scene so to speak. This unit appears well built, ranks highly in the tests I've read, is efficient and came with a rebate. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Modular cables not sleeved Weird choice of design for PCI-e cables
|
Awesome, solid unit. Very quiet. Always impressed by the quality of Corsair products, packaging was perfect.
It is a little longer then I thought having own very good 750W PSUs before, also modular, but space wasn't an issue in my case. It's simply that now the fan and the hole at the bottom of the case don't align perfectly and it could produce a bit more noise.
Would have preferred to have the modular cables sleeved but they are black and aren't to noticeable. Comes with tons of connectors!

As soon as you open the box,it becomes clear corsair cares about their brand and the way its presented. Nicely packed in protective foam and tucked neatly in its own black Corsair bag. This modular power source makes a very nice addition to any computer today ,with option to pull air from below mounted low in the case or flipped depending on your mounting requirements. Also with plenty of cables, this PSU is ready to go and adapt to most peoples needs , an excellent choice for any one wanting an efficient and flexible power supply. I strongly suggest this one.

Very good PSU, comes with a bag with all the connectors you need, so you can connect them as you need them rather than a big mess of wires sticking out weather or not you will use them. powerful and quiet.

Quiet, tons of cables, lots of power.
|
Stiff cables.
|
Only complaint is that the cables are a bit stiff and hard to maneuver in cases with so-so cable management. Lots of connectors, high efficiency, quiet fan, high power. Not much else you could ask for. At $150 I couldn't give this anything but 5 stars.

Modular. Corsair. Comes with A LOT of optional cables. Easy to install. Mounts either way and the logo sticker will still be the right way up.

This PSU is extremely well built and comes with a lot of optional cables. Cable management is easy with this power supply. The packaging of this unit surprised me, as it came with a fancy Corsair cloth bag and a nice Corsair bag for the cables. I'm very impressed with Corsair, 5/5!

Modular, really keeps cable clutter to a minimum Looks great
|
Nothing that I can think of
|
Bar none, the best PSU I've ever worked with. Almost 100% modular, only the 20+4 pin and CPU power cables are attached and all of the cables are very easy to work with: not too stiff, and long enough to reach everything in the case with enough slack still to tie them out of the way for your cable management. The color coding for the GPU cables is a very nice touch. It also looks very sleek in a way that doesn't tend to show in photos: it just looks extremely elegant when its mounted in your case. I highly doubt that I'll even bother with another modular PSU from any other company ever again.

Best PSU I've ever owned. Corsair deserves a lot of plaudits for this product. at this price point I haven't seen anything that come even close. Fresh out of the box, you can tell the unit is going to last a looooong time and Corsair back it up with and impressive warranty. 7 years if memory serves.

Build quality Silent Great flat modular cables
|
The manual is kinda short on details
|
You really get what you pay for with this baby! Those flexible flat cables made it possible to hide them almost completely cuz they can be routed through some really tight places in my old Lian Li mid tower case. Overall it's a great unit and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Very Quiet (140mm fan) Good Power on 12V rails Modular plugs + crossfire support (4x 8pin) Certified 80% efficiency
|
Terrible glue smell when first opening box.
|
Purchased this unit for main workstation.
I am very impressed with Corsair power supply units. When you unpack the unit, it just shows quality (other than the terrible glue smell from the factory when you first unpack it, hehe)
Simple things like having the PSU in a velvet bag, including 4x black attachment screws to color match the installation (my other Enermax didn't have those) and such shows quality.
After stress testing this machine (P5Q Pro, Intel 9650 j400Mhz FSB j3.6Ghz, dual Sapphire ATI 4890 j900Mhz GPU, 1000Mhz Mem) the power supply held up (stable) with sufficient voltage on the 5v & 12v rails.
Highly recommended.

+ Nice Looks + Excellent packaging
|
- Smells of chemicals when you open it

Wow. The packaging is extraordinary. The power supply comes in a nice bag, and you have a bag for your accessories. It also comes with a power cord, which I forgot to buy... But that's awesome. It looks absolutely fantastic.

Top qualité! Construction solide. Pricematché à 154$ avec une des compagnies soeurs de NCIX. Modulaire. 80Plus Gold certification. Grade professionnel. Cables modulaires plats. Case badge "Powered by Corsair" en aluminum incluse.
