The Wattage you see isn’t always the wattage you get.
Some brands tweak tests to get great wattage ratings, but in reality, they deliver much lower max wattages. Don’t be fooled by wattage tricks. Below are examples of how we guarantee our wattage.
Continuous Power
Wattage and heat go hand-in-hand. Other PSUs claim a certain wattage by using unrealistic testing environments like 25°C, but in real settings, they might reach much lower wattages. XFX PSUs guarantee the advertised wattage, even at well above standard operating conditions at 50°C.
Clean Power
Power drawn from your AC outlet is typically dirty with voltage spikes and fluctuations, which can harm vital PC components. XFX PSUs are designed to deliver tight DC voltage regulation with minimal AC ripple, giving you safer, cleaner power.
Efficient Power Use
80 Plus Bronze certified means that this XFX PSU has an 85% power efficiency. Compare that to non-certified PSUs, which lose at least 20% of power drawn. With the XFX PSU, get every watt you pay for.
Extreme Heat Tested Capacitors
Internal PC operating temperature is around 35°C but the internal PSU temperature can be much higher. XFX uses all high-quality Japanese brand capacitors rated to withstand up to 105°C. While some competitors claim to use Japanese capacitors, they may only be rated for 85°C, which can shorten the usable life of a PSU.
Automatic Protection Sensors
All XFX PSUs come with automatic output protection systems to protect you and your computer. This includes Total Power Protection (OPP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP) and Short Circuit Protection (SCP)

Summary Definitely a good choice for any build not involving multiple GPUs. I would suggest this to anyone building a budget gaming build. The only downsides are that it's not modular and that it only has one PCI-e power connector..
Summary This PSU is a excellent one for surfing, office, budget computer or even gaming (but carefull, maybe you need better wattage for good video card with). XFX do really good with psu. Ill buy again for my next build.
Great power supply. Runs stable and efficient. Sleeved cables a plus since it isn't modular. My only gripe is that it has one pci-e power plug. Wasn't an issue for me right now, but could be for some. For a 450w psu I dont think you could expect to run sli/crossfire anyways. Only an issue for higher end single card setups.
Summary Seems like an alright power supply so far. Quiet and provides more than enough power for my HTPC. The only downside I can see so far is that it only has 1 pci-e connector and most video cards require two.
Pros Specs look good Quiet Inexpensive if the MIR gets paid
Cons Misleading marketing (see below)
Summary Despite the prominent advertising of "all high-quality Japanese brand capacitors", which is mentioned in the user manual as well, mine has a number of Su'scon and Teapo capacitors clearly visible through the PSU vents as soon as I removed it from the packaging. Those aren't Japanese brands, and I'm not sure they are high-quality. I guess the factory might have made an honest mistake in this one sample that I have, but it doesn't inspire confidence. Please also note that this PSU has just 1 PCI-E cable. Some reviews on the web refer to 2 PCI-E cables for this model, but mine came with just one.
The XFX Core Edition 450W is clearly a totally different animal from the 650W, 750W and 850W we reviewed recently. And if I could grade on excessive marketing fluff and incorrect information on the box, I'd drive the score into the ground, but over all it's not a horrible unit. I dare say it
