From virtually silent to comfortable audible
noise levels
Our design objective for all Swiftech products is always to minimize the
operating noise while preserving high thermal performance
characteristics. At its lowest speed settings, the H220-X system is
virtually inaudible. At its maximum speed, it remains within comfortable
audible noise levels.
Plug-and-Play
The H220-X is probably the easiest AIO liquid cooling kit to install bar
none, and is even easier to setup than many high-end air coolers.
Superior Thermal Performance
Thanks to its copper & brass dual 120mm radiator, high static pressure
Helix 120mm fans, more powerful DC pump than any other AIO on the
market, and because it uses the Award winning Apogee™ XL waterblock, the
H220-X kit delivers superior thermal performance to any comparably sized
system on the market.
Expandable/Customizable
The H220-X differentiates itself from other
AIO's by its ability to be fully customized, and to support additional
liquid cooled components such as graphics cards, chipset, and/or
additional radiator(s).
From a practical standpoint, this is possible thanks to:
The presence of a reservoir including a fill-port built into
the radiator so that the system can be easily emptied or
refilled by the user at will,
Enthusiast grade 5/8¡± OD (3/8" ID) black PVC tubing fastened
to swivel fittings with an elegant clamping system that users
can easily remove and safely re-install.
The factory tubing and fittings can be replaced by
aftermarket G1/4 compatible offerings of your choice (an
optional G1/4 adapter is needed for the pump outlet, and is
scheduled for release on 8/15/2014).
From a thermal performance standpoint, this is made possible by:
The high thermal capacity of the dual 120mm copper and brass
radiator
The powerful high-pressure pump capable of driving
sufficient flow to cool multiple devices in the loop.
The award winning flagship Apogee XL waterblock
Automatic speed control or fine-tuning
right out of the box
Both the pump and the fans are PWM compliant devices, allowing the
H220-X to be recognized and speed-controlled by the motherboard
depending on CPU temperature just like any standard CPU cooler. As a
bonus, the system includes a PWM splitter allowing connection of up to 8
PWM devices which can then be controlled as one by the motherboard.
Maintenance-free
As shipped from our factory and installed as directed (*), the H220-X
CPU cooler requires no maintenance during its 3 year warranty period; a
system refill is recommend at the end of 3 years. Under extreme ambient
conditions, the system may need more frequent refills. If upgraded by
the user, the interval of time between refills will depend on how users
implement their customized loop.
¡¡
Reliability
Both fans and pump are rated for a 60,000 MTBF (Meantime Between
Failures)

The H220-x is a great product if you are looking to lower the temps on your CPU or want to start overclocking which generates even more heat than a stock setting CPU. The H220-x dropped my temps at stock while streaming from a very very warm 91c to a balmy 61c at about the same room temperature.
I bought this with three bottles of Swiftech HydrX PM pre-mixed coolant with the specific intent to expand the system to cool my i7 4790K and GTX 780 with GPU block, and with another 180mm, 35mm thick radiator in the Bitfenix Prodigy. Installation was relatively simple. I emptied the system of coolant which was easy, and replaced the tubing with Primochill 3/8 ID and 5/8 OD tubing. Removal of the original tubing was easy, and once I cut my new tubing, attaching it from the H220x by re-using the provided clamps to my various other components was relatively simple although one of the ports is in a slightly awkward place, near the pump and facing the "inside" of the radiator. On the other components I used 3/8 ID and 5/8 OD compression fittings and everything went as planned. Once the 8-pin PWM fan hub was installed and attached I connected all the PWM connectors from the pump, fans, and Apogee XL water block to it. The water block fan connector is just for lighting effect of the built in LED, which is a nice touch. Installation of the water block was easy, and attaching the fans to the case was a breeze using standard case fan screws. Once filled with new coolant I ran the pump which was quiet and seemed to move a lot of water. The PWM function worked very well to reduce and increase the fan and pump speed based on my fan profiles on my motherboard software, and temperatures are well controlled. The reservoir also has a built in white LED to show off the coolant in the reservoir, making it easy to see if more coolant is added based on the "min" and "max" meter next to the reservoir window. My only dislike of this setup is that the pump hangs down relatively close to the motherboard, but this issue is more due to installing this in a small, Mini-ITX case. I also found the fans to be relatively well-built, and quiet, but they have a bit of motor hum, which funny enough, even at full load is the loudest part of the system. If you're looking to do a custom water cooling loop at a very low cost, this is definitely the system for you. The pump doesn't vibrate much and is quite close to a DDC pump in performance and construction. Highly recommended. I won't speak to temps because I added the second radiator which is another variable that affects the results, but everything is cool, and very quiet.
got it as a replacement from ncix because my old h220 pump die on me. after installing it the pump was really loud. even at 25% fan speed...so i return it and got another 1 and the problems goes away.
other then that its been good. seem like the pump problems still live within Swiftech for such a new product.

Pros Apogee XL Water Block Expandable Multiple Colour Plates
Cons A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for
Summary The H220-x is a great product if you are looking to lower the temps on your CPU or want to start overclocking which generates even more heat than a stock setting CPU. The H220-x dropped my temps at stock while streaming from a very very warm 91c to a balmy 61c at about the same room temperature.
It comes with four colour plates that can be inserted into the CPU block to customize the look to your personal rig or tastes although the red colour plate looks more orange than red in my opinion. A search of "h220x colour plates" will bring you to my video showcasing the multiple colour plates installed and lit up.
The fans can be a BIT loud when running very demanding tasks on your CPU, but this would be easily fixable by replacing the 2 120mm Helix fans that come with product.
The expandability of the product is also a huge plus as if you find a want or need to add a second radiator and GPU block the pump has more than enough "umph" to get the job done. I don't think I would go too much further than that though.
All things considered I am very pleased with the product, I personally flipped the Helix fans around as they come in a push configuration blow air into the case, but I wanted the top of my case to be my exhaust.
Would I buy another one or suggest it to other consumers? If it's in your budget than yes, if not something cheaper will serve just fine.
Pros Quiet, PWM controlled powerful pump and fans, compact length helps fit into tight spots, nicely lit Apogee XL water block, easy to fill and bleed for air bubbles, fans connected to radiator with short 6-32 screws and can be installed to case using regular case fan screws, easily expandable and competitive with most custom 240mm radiator set-ups, comes with 8-port PWM controller, all SATA Power connectors, no molex which is great
Cons Pump assembly makes radiator component thick, fans are a bit whiney, cabling is a bit too short and looks "unfinished", I wish more tubing clamps were included because they work quite well, not supposed to be mounted to the bottom of a case

EDIT: One of my cons about one non-replaceable fitting(s) is gone because I was able to order a G1/4" compatible adapter from Swiftech's web store to replace the one non-standard fitting, so now I can use this unit with ANY type of tubing regardless of diameter or type, such as PVC or acrylic.
