Lots of places to put fans, USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 adapter if you have an older motherboard without USB 3, easy hard drive installation
|
Heavy (but that is to be expected for a case this size)
|
I use this case to build a computer with 2 ASUS radeon 290 video card. The included fans and the 4 Cougar Turbine 120mm Hyper Spin Bearing Fan can keep those card relatively cool. There is a lot of space in front of the card ot install additionnal fans in front of the hard drive cage. The hard drive installation is really easy, with no tools necessary.

Plenty of room. sleek design.

Fan a bit noisier than the 900 but still quiet. Had to add an extra fan in the front as it did not come with it. No big deal
|
I've had the Antec 900 for 7 years now and I'm very happy. The 1100 is bigger and looks great. Tons of room. Hope to keep this case as long as the first one!

Large internal space. Excellent case design with beveled back panel to allow cables to hide. Weighs as much as my half-tower Antec 900.
|
Poorly designed front fan intake fan filters and front panel. Cheap plastic in 5.25 drive bay clips (break 50% of the time). Top fan bearings not capable of being inverted without vibrating loudly (~35dB). Plastic nubs on the side window that fit into case fan holes, break off extremely easily.
|
Overall this gets a 3.7 which has to be rounded up to 4. It is good, but not great without some work (so get it on sale to cover the extra costs).
Enough space for my 6 drives, my giant radiator, 5 fans (Gelid Wings), and it still looks half-empty!
The cable management in this case is 6/5 considering they made extra room in the 'back' (actually the right when looking from the front). It can be a little tricky getting the power supply cables to use all their connections with the drives, but it only took a minute to get three per power supply cable to fit (so two cables for six drives).
The really surprising thing was the weight, which is as light as my half-tower. I was expecting this to be a workout to move when fully loaded, but it is very reasonable.
Then comes the bad. The front fan intake was heat-pressed which resulted in the fan filter material being beveled and it hits any fans that are installed. The filter is non-reversible, so I tried to install two Silverstone fan filters, but they are about 125mm and the front panel will not fit around them (without ramming or shaving the fans). So I had to abandon the use of these two fans (which is not a big deal, but is an area for improvement).
Plastic nubs on the side window that fit into case fan holes, break off extremely easily. With the rubber grommets on the other two holes, this makes locking the side fans down very hard. They should have just used four rubber grommets.
The 5.25 drive bays have tool less design with hard plastic clips that hold the drive covers in place. You pry them slightly outwards to release the cover, and then remove to install your device. The problem is that the clips break off half the time, meaning you would have to mod the case if you ever wanted to put the cover back on.
To compound that, when you do try and install a device into these bays, the tool less design fails. The levered pin that is supposed to lock continually springs back open, and I was forced to use a zip tie to lock it down. Again, not a big thing for me, but it should have a manual backup (aka screw hole) in case we want to lock it down.
The worst thing about this (and my Antec 900 case) - the top fan. In the 900 it died within three weeks and was very inaccessible. With this one, they are using the wrong kind of fan (or cheap bearings for this RPM rate) for an upwards exhaust fan. The vibration mentioned in other reviews was even worse in my system, and no amount of balancing with screws could improve it (actually made it much worse). The only solution was to invert it, which thankfully Antec made much easier this time around. It did actually drop my temps by a degree (beyond my normal cooling), but it also makes the system more dangerous, so I had to move the case to a much higher position.
Finally, the placement of top fan too far back to allow case handles to be installed. Considering the size of this fan, it did not need to be perfectly centered on the CPU as there are no radiators in existence that could cover that whole area. This was not added to the Cons as this is something that will not effect everyone, but it is a pain for me.

USB3.0 ports Simple but powerful build Side window Good quality
|
No front intake fans The quality of side window can be improved.
|
Overall, Antec 1100 is an awesome case. But, no intake fans makes you worry about which fan you need to buy, cable management, and something like that. Although this is not the key part of building a new pc, some perfectionists may be stuck in this point and stop thinking about this case. I think nobody will care the price rises a little bit if Antec adds 2 front intake fans.

BIG. Plenty of room in this case, tons of airflow, great cable management, SSD drive bay surprisingly convenient.

Does not include front fans (knew that when purchasing). Regardless the airflow is spectacular.

Sleek, yet simple. Would recommend this case to anyone looking for a spacious mid-tower case.

I recently purchased two of these cases for a server and desktop. Overall these cases look great and have lots of breathing room. My only complaint would be for the price point I would think they would come with a frontal fan.

Great case for the price. Aesthetically pleasing.

No dust filters on the side panels.

I needed a large mid-tower case to fit my budget. I got this case on sale for $89.99 back in July 2012. Detailed Pros: The cut-out behind the CPU socket. Although it might not seem like much. This gives you access to the back of the motherboard underneath the CPU which is great for replacing the heatsink on the CPU without taking the whole damn motherboard out of the case. Spacious interior There is a TON of space for a standard ATX motherboard. I believe it can fit an ATX-XL. The rubber grommets allow you to hide the cables from your power supply among other cables behind the motherboard. Cons: I really dislike that this case didn't come with dust filters on the side panels. To remedy this situation, I bought 3 Silverstone FF122 Plastic Fan Filters. For one side panel, no work was required. But on the plastic side panel, I had to use some velcro strips to attach the filters. This is something that Antec should have put in their design but with a little work, you can get rid of this con.
8/10. Would have been 10/10 if there were filters on side panels. >_<

- only one SSD drivebay, have to use adapter if need to add another SSD drive - would have been nice if side vents had filters too.

Well I went from a Antec Sonata 500 to this and what a difference! Has a real neat rail system when mounting drives. Dedicated place to install your 2.5" SS drives no adapters needed. Tons of places you can install 120mm fans. Great cable management where you route you cable behind your motherboard. This will fit any size motherboard or the largest video cards out there without a problem. Best case I've owned so far and I've owned a lot.

Spacious. Great cable management options. Easy-access fan filters. Huge motherboard tray cutout for any backplates. So many fan mounts!
|
200mm-only fan mount on the top—no option to mount any sized radiator up in the roof. Front panel connectors were ~1cm too short for my cable routing tastes (at least the HD audio one).
|
I love this case. It looks great without being over-the-top. It has lots of fan mounts, which is what I was looking for. There is copious space behind the motherboard tray for cables, and the routing holes are of course a very welcome touch. The grommets stayed in place while running cables through, too. I'm currently utilizing the fan mount on the right side panel, behind the motherboard, with an undervolted fan as an exhaust rather than an intake to avoid dust buildup better, but I'm sure my 8-pin power cable and some fan cables block the holes on the backside for a sufficient influx of fresh air; I still feel air coming in and going out, but not as much as I would expect with this fan, of course. I dislike the lack of fan mounting options on the top because this automatically takes out any option of topside radiator mounting, at least without some modifications. On the plus side of that, however, I do like the stock fan that comes in that mount. It's also a shame that the fan connector PCB in the upper-back of the case doesn't include the fan speed control options as the related P280 does. The only switch in the back of this is to turn the top 200mm fan's blue LED on and off.
All in all, I really enjoy this case. The build was simple and neat, and most of everything is easy with this case.

Excellent Build Quality. I think this is one of the best bang for buck cases! Finger prints aren't really easy to see. Tool less optical drive, you just pop it in the front Tool less strong harddrive. Decent Ventilation. Very light weight empty. Huge back cpu cutout
|
Annyoing 200mm fan blue LED at the top, why does it have to be blue. My color scheme is red. Rubber cable management grommets keep falling off, gotta keep putting them back on, I wish they glued them on or something. Obnoxious 120mm fan, good thing I'm using a Corsair H80 and replacing it.
|
4/5 stars. I really like this new case, although you have to go online to read the manual from the Antec Website, caused me a lot of headache to take out everything because it didn't include it in the box. The front bezel could be better, you would literally have to yank it towards you to open it to install your ODD, the front supports 2 120mm fans, although I believe it's going to be tough due to the foam blocking most of the air, it also has a fan grill and and a honeycomb plastic mesh to make matters worse, I would recommend getting static pressure optimized fans as it has to push the air through all that unnecessary blockage.

Cheap, parts missing..

Very big case and good for cable management...however, comes with only 2 useless fans that are noisy and the cables are too short to plug them anywhere on the MB. No 3.5'' bracket for fan controllers or anything else that goes in front and that is 3.5''. Cheap, plastic pins break all over the place. Only 2 ssd slots and too many useless hdd slots....Next time i would go with coolermaster as their cases never disappointed me. Invest a bit more and get something else than antec, in the end itll cost just as much when you buy fans for the 1100. Antec used to be a good company but they cheaped out too much lately.

Even with all those heat sources (hottish i5 3570k too) the case still provides good air flow and keeps everything well ventilated.

No switch to change the speed of the top fan (200mm) while you can control the light.

I was a bit worried about the window because of the 2 mount for fans but in the end it look good anyway.
The case have a very clean look, not like it´s some sort of stange alien device like some other "gamer" oriented cases, i really like that.
There is plenty of room for cable management, with a modular PSU you can definately do a clean job.
That´s pretty much it, a good case!

After owning the Antec Nine Hundred (one of my favourite cases), I started buying all sorts of others from a plethora of manufacturers, and honestly, no one does it like Antec - this was definitely a pleasure to build a PC with.
Only con I have is the top fan. Not sure how this passed their quality management because I noticed a few other people mentioning the same thing - but, it's not too big of a deal considering the price. Come winter time though I'll definitely be replacing it with a Blue Coolermaster Megaflow (the noise is masked by a bigger fan at the moment).
Anyway, highly recommended!

If you are going to buy this case then make sure you buy a power supply with long cables because I was unable to route the 4 pin power cable without it showing, and the molex cable that goes to the fan controller. I am using an xfx pro650w. This case is a absolute brick. It's amazing. However at the normal price of $120 I'm not sure I'd recommend it. I got mine on sale for 85$ and nothing at that price could beat it. However at 120$ I'm sure there are better options out there
My system temperature stays under 50* Celsius even when gaming. In it I have: XFX 650W PRO650W Mushkin Enhanced Blackline Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 Intel Core i5 2310 Mushkin Chronos 120GB Sapphire Radeon HD 4870

Almost everything is a pro, perfect cable management, big window, good cooling, 9 pci slots for quad or tri sli mobos, tons of room, easy to build, nice hardrive area and easy to install, top fan with blue led, has a fan controller on the back. Could fit any sized videocard no problem.
|
-top 200mm fan makes a rattling sound -top fan is connected to a fan controller that doesn't have a fan controller on some of the earlier batches. -fan controller might solve the constant rattling problem with the case -won't work with H100, but then i'm not using it -no front fans installed, I recycled my antec 900 front fans and used it as an exhaust too, quiet, but for more intake, the fans are too far away. Might be better to install more quiet fans at the closer set of intakes near the videocard and mobo. -the side panel fan thing blocks the view of the gpu unless you move gpu to the lowest slot, seeing half of it. The fans could potentially block the wiring of a gpu with side wiring to the window hitting the wires. -becareful with the pegs on the side window, they are flimsy
|
I have a love hate relationship with antec products. I used to have an antec 900, worst cable management ever. Top fan broke, thought maybe I should try the antec eleven hundred, could test if bottom slot works for pci-e since I have the room now. Also I would get a new top fan, could move my fans over to this case. That was the orginal plan.
Well now the top fan makes a whrilling or ratting sound, it's not the vibration of the case, but maybe the ball bearings or cheap plastic moving at such high speeds. I noticed a similar sound using the highest fan setting with the antec 900. The batch I got didn't have a knob for the fan controller, connected to the fan. So you would only find an led switch not a low medium high setting on it. It's something to keep in mind, if your expecting this feature. I'm satisfied with it, but knowing this wouldn't purchase it again. That is why I am giving it three stars even if it deserves 4 or higher. If the top fan didn't make this rattling sound and had a fan controller, I probally would give it five stars.

-XL-ATX support means this case will not be an issue fitting oversized mobo's -included 2 fans -sleek and simple design -hard drive mounting rails and other tooless features
|
-certain water-cooling rads may not fit due to no spot to mount 2x120mm fans (other than on the case window, which isn't logical) -hard plastic feet; rubber ones would have been better
|
I bought this case to give my computer more "breathing room" from my previous Lian-Li PC65B as well as to solve the cramped setup of my setup which included an eVGA GTX580. I have also installed 2 additional low noise CoolerMaster 120mm fans on the front, my idle temp dropped a few degrees which is now around 30deg celcius. The price has dropped for these cases since then, I definitely recommend this as a solid buy!

I bought this to replace my Cooler Master HAF 932 that loved to have ESD/grounding issues (other than that it was great).
This is top notch. There are a lot of drive bays, the drive mounting brackets are easy to use and secure. There is a spot for 2 2.5 SSD drives above the 3.5 mm bays.
There are a lot of cable routing holes. There is a generous amount of space between the back of the case and the left side panel. This leaves a lot of space for cabling behind the mother board.
No issues with this case what so ever.

I bought this for a new build and am really please with the case. There is lots for room for everything and the cut out for the CPU as well as the extra room and tie downs added behind the motherboard for cable management are fabulous. I put in an Antec Kuhler H20 920 and the 2 fan + radiator mount made accessing the top portion of the case a little tight. Outside of that I highly recommend this case.

Love it, love it, love it. This case is feels and looks very durable. Swaping out my guts took no time at all. It looks great too. The rubber flaps that hide where your cables go in and out can come off so be wary when swapping cause if it comes off when you have run most of you cables its a pain to un plug everything, put the rubber flaps back then replug everything :). Watch the vid of the opening of the box, if you like it buy it, I did. The new (been awhile sincei bought a new case) way to put the hard drives in is great! So easy. I have 4 hard drives and 2 dvd burners so with the new palcement I wasn't able to plug one of my burners in but I assume there is a adapter to change the old stlye plugs into the new sata style ones and the i plug that one in too. This case is def worth the $120+.

Lots of interior space, and it's black :) Tool-less DVD and hard drive bays Space for 7 fans (2 included) Removable air filters for front and powersupply fans Proper implementation of USB 3 jacks (unlike the P280, unless they changed it since linus' un-boxing) Cable management slots everywhere Lots of room behind the motherboard tray for cables LOOKS SEXY!
|
No air filter for side intake fans Very wide case due to extra space behind the motherboard, so may not fit some enclosures. Just fit into mine with about 1/4 on either side. would have been nice to see a USB3-USB2 header adaptor included for those that don't have a motherboard with USB3. Though it does have 2x usb2 on the front aswell.
|
This case is awesome, I managed to get everything into it and running in 45mins.
The cable management system is so easy to work with, just pop all the power wires throuh the bottom hole(s) take the ones you need to where they need to go and tie them down, the rest can be tied up behind the mobo tray or stuffed below the hard drives.
The 2 fans that came with it are fairly quiet, but do not have speed selectors on the back like the p280. The switch on The back is to turn on or off the LEDs for the top 200mm fan.
I was going to get the p280 but decided I liked this one better at the last second and I have no regrets. Except the p280 would probably have been a bit quieter when loaded up.
Great case and I might even get another one when decide to get rid of my ancient P180.

Overall this case is great! Lots of room, fits any motherboard I can think of. CPU cutout is great, makes for easy installation of backplates. Good airflow design. Only downside is if you plan on making a custom water loop you will have to do some modding to fit any decent radiator but I will not remove a star for this, more of a preference. Would buy again!

Just the right size case. A lot of right place for 120mm fan. Huge side window to show of hardware. Tool-less Drive mounting. great feature. Great Bang for the money
|
USB 3.0 connector should come with adapter for mobo don't have the header.
|
Great case, Great feature, Great quality, Good Value.

Big, a lot of room for cable management, great looking, great quality, hard drive bay, price
|
Only two fan? And I the 200mm top fan was defective
|
A great case overall, the airflow is awesome. I installed 5x Cooler Master R4 120mm Blue LED fan and it looks awesome. My only con would be that the top fan was defect, but contacted Antec support and they shipped me one the day after! Great companie, great case... can't find a real con for now. The price is good (got it with price match)and the build quality is great. I may not have a lot of experience with cases (this is my first 100$+ case) but I would recommend it for everyone who are looking for a nice "standard-looking" case at this price point! (Maybe the Corsair Carbide 500R if you're looking for something with more... punch)

Lots of room Very robust an overall excellent case
|
Still would like to see a better installation guide included with any case.
|
Great case, just haven't figured out how to install 2 120mm fans on the side panel as none of the screws in the box of goodies fit just yet. I am hoping they are screw-less, but if i am wrong please let me know...

-TONS of space! especially behind the MOBO. Lots of room for expansions. -Lots of places to install new fans. -Great looking case with good ventilation, front and bottom of the case has easily removable mesh screen to reduce dust intake. -bottom mesh screen can be removed without opening the case.
|
-Fan splitter is in an awful place if you have a larger CPU cooler, my Antec Kuhler h20 920 pushed the splitter up a little and it makes it extremely hard to plug new fans in without removing it.
|
Sleek design with tons of features packed in. Antec outdid themselves. Great bang for your buck.

I've owned this case for a little over a month now and I have to say that this is by far the best case I have ever owned. The cable management system is very easy to use and makes it very easy to manage all of your cables, even if it's your first time! There is lots of room to work within the case also which is nice (especially if you are doing water cooling or more advanced modding) Case only comes with 2 fans stock but even with only this it does a really good job on cooling.

|
front usb slots a bit to lose and wabiliy, thing connected to usb on front panel get in way of optical drive if in first slot.
|
as above a soild case, I used to own thermaltake for ten years but they have let me down reliability wise so trying my luck, so far so good.
