Reality.. it's cheap.. has both a usb receiver and IR blaster attachments.. even comes with batteries. Works nicely in linux (mythtv / LinuxMCE)... and can be price matched to get it even cheaper.

Bought this because i needed the IR blasters to control my cable box under MCE. Worked like a charm. The ir blasters(2 included) them selves flash(red) when they work so it is easy to see it is plugged in right and the right port is selected. This remote works on XP Pro, XP MCE, Vista and XP Home(with a driver off the net, or from the MCE machine).

While having a keyboard like a Dinovo Edge is great to control a HTPC, it's a bit cumbersome for casual viewing so a remote is a good thing to get. The remote include everything you need to control a set top box with a couple of IR blasters and with Vista Media Center, it's a breeze to setup and to use it (it's like a perfect marriage).

Works perfectly with Windows XP Pro. SP2, very easy to setup. I don't use the remote directly, I used it to teach commands to my Harmony remote, and everything works very well. I set up my old PC as an HTPC, running Media Portal, and have been exceedingly happy ever since!

I only wanted to use the IR transceiver for use with my new Harmony 550 and HTPC setup. Plug 'n' Play under Windows XP MCE 2005 and Vista. The package includes two IR blasters, but I haven't got a chance to test them out since the Harmony is taking care of all of my devices. The ergonomically shaped remote unit itself feels good in hands, again won't be using it as much, though. Very satisfied with the quality and price. Will probably buy again for another HTPC which I'll be setting up soon

This is a must-have for Windows Media Center users. I just want to point out that this is an IR remote, so you need to have (mostly) visual sight of the receiver for the remote to work. Granted the reciever has an amazing range. If your computer and TV are in the same room then this purchase is a no-brainer.

With this remote control, your media center will become so easy to use! Even my mom could use it! The remote look very nice it as a back light when you push a bottom, you can configure some bottom too. One of my favorite is the Power PC bottom, it does not turn the PC off but put it into standby mode, that nice because it wake up faster. I recommend this Media Center Remote Control to everyone.
