Had this drive for over 10 months now and never had a single problem. I use Antec case and installed a 80 mm fan right in front of it to cool it down. I think these drives are great and fairly cheap.       » READ MORE

I bought this at the boxing week sale for $90s. There is the occasional click when it spins up. Also for those running SATA1, don't forget to change the jumper.      » READ MORE

I bought this during the boxing day sale for $99. What a price for a 500GB HD. The performance is average, not as good as the Seagate 7200.10 ones, but the power consumption is only a little better.      » READ MORE

While I can't complain too much, as its a good value for your money, the drive itself isn't the best. It gets realllly hot and it vibrates more then your average drive. Its not insanely bad, but definitely noticeable. The vibrating of the HD made my Computer case make an oscillating/humming noise that was very annoying. I eventually had to buy an external casing for it :(       » READ MORE

This is a good drive for the money, I purchased this drive for 150$ on sale. After transferring files for awhile the drive tends to get hot and starts to get noisy. Easy to install.       » READ MORE

This was my first 500Gb hard drive and it's so huge. Came OEM and no cables, but I use the NCIX brand short locking SATA connection cables to attach to the motherboard. No problems as of yet.       » READ MORE

I am not understanding how some people are reporting that these drives are loud and that they run hot. I have 5 of these drive myself, as well I have numerous friends with multiple of these drive as well and none of us have had any issues with these drives at all. I have two 90mm fans sitting in the front of these drives and I have not had any temp issues with any of them. And even having them going full blast copying and moving data I cant hear them at all and my tower is directly beside my feet. I think these drives are great and you can get them on sale pretty cheap.       » READ MORE
