Pros Not crazy expensive Fast enough for day-to-day use
Cons Not the fastest ever
Summary I got these 2 DIMM for my wife's computer and everything has been running smooth over the last year. 8GB was not enough anymore for Photoshop and Lightroom and the upgrade to 16GB was a big improvement on Windows 10.
The price was good for what they are (not gaming RAM for sure but no need of such for PS/LR).
Summary The G.SKILL Ripjaws X 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 RAM is a pretty nice addition to my PC build. I could have gone with 8 GB of ram but this really looked nice with my build. It's always nice to have 16 GB of RAM and 1600 mhz is honestly more than enough in a real world scenario.
Summary I have installed this Dell unapproved upgrade in a Studio XPS 8300 computer which Dell supports up to 16GB of RAM (because of Windows 7 RAM limit) Since the motherboard supports 32GB of RAM and I use Windows 2008 R2 server, the RAM works perfectly.
Summary Well, it's RAM... I have had no problems with it. It's fast and reliable. It also looks good with my Maximum Hero motherboard. However, I got it at full price (140$), which is too much for RAM...
Summary I have had this for 3 months and I haven't had any problems with it. It works well, and it's 16GB for a decent price. I do find it a bit tacky looking though, although that is a subjective opinion and others may like the way it looks.
Pros Works fine in my desktop at the office: Dell Optiplex 990. No more memory problems...
Cons I don't see anything to report.
Summary Ordered these DIMMs for my desktop at the office. Runs without problems on Dell Optiplex 990. Nothing more to report, as I do not need super fast memory for my command line work... My bug was that I did not have enough memory to run Evolution-Thunderbird (email programs) during a transition from IMAP to Exchange under Linux !
Pros Solid performance with no issues in a ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Motherboard
Cons None so far.
Summary Good memory for a good price, I have used GSkill ripjaw memory in other computer builds with no issues so that is why I considered this product first. So far it is working just fine in my build.
Summary These modules are what you've come to expect from G.Skill: 100% compatibility and stability at an affordable price. Not much else to say as there weren't any issues with dropping these into an old p55a board with an overclocked Core i5-750.
Cons Nothing noted it's a 1600Mhz kit, running it's rated XMP completely stable with 0 memtest errors.
Summary It's a 16GB kit and I wanted to stick with the red themed components in my PC, performance wise it's doing it's job just fine and I don't feel that I would've had much if any performance increase with choosing a 2133 kit with a 4790K
Summary can't complain. have a set of these in my budget gaming build and its been going strong for years and years now. would definitely recommend. of course ram prices have skyrocketed lately so maybe i'd wait until prices settle down.
Pros reliable and certified by a large number of motherboard manufacturers
Cons Not the fastest you can get
Summary I got these modules for a new build. I already owned the 4 GB modules in my other PC. They are as solid as a rock. Could be faster, but for the difference it would make for me, these are perfect.
Pros - red scheme that matches my msi z87 motherboard - reliable brand
Cons - price
Summary This kit is perfect to go along with my MSI z87 GD65 motherboard, it also matches the color scheme. As I was doing my research of desktop RAMs, G.Skill comes across with many positive reviews for their RAMs. Having 16gb is great for running multiple virtual machines which it's what I'm doing.
Other than that, it's quite expensive when it's not on sales, so I recommend waiting until it's on sales, I bought this kit on Black Friday for $140.
Summary Got it on sale for good price, with increasing RAM prices, anything to help reduce the price helps. G-skill has always been one of the best RAM providers so can't go wrong with anything they have really, as long as it serves your purpose.
Pros Looks nice and durable. Enough memory to handle anything outside Ramdisk on large games.
Cons The color makes it necessary to get a red themed mobo and case unless you don't care. Which in all isn't really a con.
Summary After a lot of research, I ended up buying these to put in my Maximus VI Hero because of the color and the user ratings. It is the first time I ever buy a G-skill product and I am not dissapointed.
16gb of ram is more than necessary to run any game.
Pros +Inexpensive +8 gigabytes per stick +Seems to run cool enough +Passed tests d 8-9-8-24 d 1333(vs the 9,9,9 of the SPD)
Cons -Tall heat spreaders, but still fits under the NH-D14, but you may need to remove the heatsink to install the ram in the closest slots.
Summary I picked theses sticks up for use with my Maximus IV Gene-Z because my 4 sticks or corsair while very stable could not quite pass extremely high memory load testing(about 7-9 hours before it would fail).
The old memory is just fine(as is all my Corsair stuff, it is just a combination of 2 x 8 gig kits(4 x 4 gig sticks. so this is my fault. I have done it so many times it was just a matter of time before I got burned by it) not being a good idea on this board/cpu combo.
This gives me just 2 sticks(and the command rate of 1 that goes with it)
They also run fine at 1333 8,9,8,24.(I see not reason why cl 10 v 1600 would be any issue) They may allow a bit more tightening, but this is fine for me.
This is my first g-skill memory and so far so good(at a great price).
