It's a great cooler. Just like the name implies Be Quiet, its quiet. It's night and day compared to the stock AMD cooler (that thing was like a jet engine when it was under load). It's almost like a Hyper 212 Evo, just with a better fan in my opinion. The thermal paste that comes pre-applied isn't the best (I use Arctic MX-4). I have the FX-8350 and did a small overclock of 4.2GHz and it's running fine. Lastly, the price was a little high in my opinion. Wait until the item goes on sale. (Read More)

This is a great heatsink at the sale price of 30 dollars. Cools my AMD FX8320 overclocked to 4ghz with minimal noise. Mounting this unit with motherboard in a case is nearly impossible (Fractal XL R2). Even outside the case is a bit of a challenge. I wish it came with a second set of clips so I can easily attach a second fan, but zipties will have to do. Performance is very good, stock fan has excellent noise characteristics, a second low-noise fan (Scythe S-Flex) improved the temperature but a few degrees without adding any noise. (Read More)

I am not sure why people claim this cooler is hard to mount. I followed the instructions and it was pretty simple. This was a new build therefore could have mounted the cooler prior to installing my Asus z07 Pro gamer motherboard into the case. I chose to install the motherboard first than the cooler and had no issues. There are youtube videos of people trying to get at the mounting hardware from the top side when trying to install this cooler but that is not the correct method. Once I had the mounting hardware installed, I just held the cooler using the top fins, lined up the mounting screws with the back plate locked it down with the elongated screws. The longest part was reading the instructions. Maybe they had an older version of the mounting hardware :-(
